I need to buy a roll. Is any one brand better than another? Good place to buy online?

just go grab the lincoln stuff from home depot or lowes. If your machine can hold it, go ahead and get the 10 lb (or is it 8 lbs, i can't remember) roll, it will be alot cheaper in the long run

Does this mean you bought that little lincoln machine from the vansent catalogue?

Got mine from TSC. It works pretty good, especially since I rewired the welder for the right polarity.

TSC ****s you hard with no lube on the price though. I bought a 10 pound spool of .030 wire for more than a 33 pounder cost me from Brazos Valley Welding Supply.

I tried it once, and had alot of porosity.

Lowes has the licoln wire for about 9 bucks for the small spool (1-2 Lbs) or 35 bucks for the large spool (8-10 lbs)

When I ordered you that pipe master they sent you a catalogue and you were drooling over a little mig package they had listed in there

oh, forgot about that.
Looks like Lowe's has the best price on 10lb rolls of .035 flux core. About $40, that's cheaper than anything I could find online and about $12 cheaper than home depot

yeah, its hard to beat that deal. The only part that sucks is that is pretty much the only thickness they have in the large rolls

yeah but that is about all you want to run in a 110 machine.

Plus you don't have to change tips or drive rolls to go back to solid wire

just don't forget to change your polarity

Plus you don't have to change tips or drive rolls . . . .

Not Eric :flipoff2: When he was using my welder to weld some plates to his frame he somehow managed to shove .035 wire through a .030 tip. Later on I couldn't figure out why the welder wouldn't feed worth a ****, so I pulled the spool out and found that. Even the roller was on the wrong setting
