go to walmart, buy a tupperware bin and lid, take it home, stick said transfercase in tub, surround by cardboard, put lid on. Drill holes in edges of lid and tub and attach lid to tub using zip ties.

Buy the 8 gallon bin from wal-mart. It's like $3.50. It's what I used to ship 3rd's in.

Yeah, as long as it was under 125lbs, that's how it left via UPS or DHL.

Don't need to reinforce the bottom with plywood or something?

If you put some folded cardboard in the bottom it soaks up any leftover fluids and reinforces the bottom. Two birds, one stone.

wrap it in plastic, fill it with expanding foam. Thats how ive got engine parts before.
