The event was good, decent sized turnout and pretty laid back. I'll let others chime in with the high points of the event.

I took over 350 pics and have been working on uploading the ones that I kept, just takes some time.

you can't really tell from the picture but that was right before full throttle reverse because I was convinced the jeep was going over in the water.

Didn't actually get that wet suprinsingly enough but my tools and fluids did float out of the back of the jeep.

i don't know. if i had to guess i'd say between 6-6500. i think it weighed around 5300 stock. it sure is a heavy ***** when i pull it behind my white truck

Oh, come on. It was a 20 ton boulder and we were miles from any hospital. What's the worst that have happened?

That thing couldn't weigh more than 15 tons. Everyone would have been alright.

agjohn02

a quick calculation puts it at 57 tons. rock is heavier than you think. ive seen trailer trucks hauling boulders one at a time, but never one that big.

Generic rock comes in at ~170/cf. Assuming 6x8x6 gets it unders 20T.

Our event last year made them north of $8K, I'd let people like that in too. Liability be damned!

i assumed 6 ft tall. if its 6 ft tall its 12 ft wide. i assumed a cylinder of radius 6 ft, but you may be right, looks like it may be more of a rectangle. in that case 36 tons. i used 169lb/ft^3

might want to re-calibrate your calculator.

at 166.5 for granite i get 24 tons.

I say it's more like a 9' cylinder at 4' tall and that puts it at about 21 tons.
