Sounds fun. I put it in tentatively. We never seem to know for sure until we hit the road with a loaded trailer. :)

Bump... anyone in... This will be a day for the club to remember... a day when Tate actually wheels again with the club. the jeep has been controlled by the woman since she learned how to drive it so I am going have to talk her into driving Her explorer to work a few days so I can get some armor on it. probably no locker by then though

busa, is the wife coming too? bringing her jeep if so? Austin plans to come also I believe. Since my jeep is stock and my wife has no off-road experience it will be mostly an off-road 101 weekend for her but I will test it's stock limits a little.

This is great news to me. I'll wheel with yall. Since Scott rolled my Jeep I don't want to risk tearing it up even more than he did before I get to Clayton, so I would like to just cruise around on normal obsicles for this trip. We'll roll together :) (but not in the upside down sense):gigem:

We're still in, should be the first pull with the new Dodge. Just got the gooseneck in today and wired it all up.

Doesn't look like I'll have the Fab Fours bumpers on my then, next weekend is a family reunion and still trying to aquire a toolbox to paint at the same time as the bumpers... Still have to work on both of the toys also...

redcagepatrol

So, looks like we are still in depending on how little Jake feels today. He was running a slight temperature and screaming alot yesterday...

That being said - I have a spot on my trailer and a seat in the Dodge. Can't be too much of a hassle for me though, we need to minimize the "stuck in baby seat" time for Jake.

We're out. No time lately to work on the rig. Need to take care of some things in town. Have fun.

Shaggy
10-24-2008, 06:56 PM
all loaded up and ready to go... It is Homecoming game at wife's work so we won't leave till late tonight or early tomorrow

Shaggy
10-24-2008, 07:06 PM
We decided to flat-tow the jeep because it doesn't have enough room inside for our crap, so I have the welder, torch, ect. aboard also just incase someone needs it. this is probably a good idea because seems like every time I took a rig somewhere without a trailor it came home on one.... see ya when it burns!

Shaggy
10-26-2008, 02:01 PM
Had a great time... glad I towed it because I smashed a hole in to oil pan... I am impressed with the KM2's and the front locker... will get picks up later

AggieTJ2007

damn you must have hit it hard, ive beat mine up but never put a hole in it

Pictures damn it

Shaggy

it isn't too bad, I am just going to drop the pan and weld it up

Busa
10-26-2008, 08:38 PM
We had a good time. I will get some picks up as soon as i can.

I did not brake anytime but the wife broke a rear 44 cromo shaft and found out the other one had twisted splines. Also broke a front 44 yukon stub shaft. Have not taken the front apart yet but i think that is what it is.

Busa
10-26-2008, 08:45 PM

Lynda's Jeep did good. Just a few more scrapes on the underside - no real damage.

So - we were sitting back at camp drinking some frosty adult beverages when we watch the "big boys" pull back in (47"+, rockwells), one was being pulled back.

Heard him start the engine to pull up onto the trailer, saw the smoke and had to take a look. They mentioned that he rolled it over and hydrolocked it but also mentioned that he got it started and it ran fine for like 20 minutes after the roll. I just like looking thru one side of the blockand seeing light out the other side...

redcagepatrol
10-27-2008, 08:28 AM
So I got 8.7 mpg with the new Dodge:confused: - with only one rig on the trailer!

I guess that's the trade off for these new engines and a bigger back seat

redcagepatrol
10-27-2008, 08:32 AM
and a few more

On another side note - that sweet Twisted Customes 4-Seater buggy that Nolan owns was out there. Cool to see in person - I know what I want in the future...

Did you have it on the gooseneck?

If so its way taller than the truck unlike on a bumper pull, so that is why coop and JB get good gas mileage?

I bet it opens up after the break-in. Mine was upto about 20-30K before it went from 17 on the hwy to 19 or 20 (sans rigs of course). I get 11-12 with klogger/blazer at 80 with cruise control on the whole way.

I'm sure its taller, but 8.7 still sounds very low.

I had it on my 30' low boy gooseneck. I would've gotten ~9~10 with my old Dodge on 35" tires
