I am doing rear brakes on a friend's 2001 Jaguar S-Type.
I can't seem to get the Calipers compressed to get the new pads in. The setup on it is a built in parking brake on the caliper. My first thought was that it must have some kind of automatic adjuster to make up for the pad getting old but i can't seem to find any kind of adjuster to release it. I need some ideas on how to compress it.

any help is appreciated

Are they screw in calipers?

they bolt on just like on fords but have a spring parking brake contraption on them

you probably need one of those little squares for "twisting" the piston back in. Look in the Help section or tools.

I used the loaner tool from the parts store and got it done quickly. I didn't realize it had to twist while being compressed. Thanks for the help.
