Planning on having a Highway 47 cleanup and pre-Clayton shakedown run at BVORR either Saturday 12/6 or Sunday 12/7. It really depends on what everyone's final schedule looks like. Post up which date you prefer and we will go from there.

Are enough people interested in doing the workday on Saturday still? For the new members that don't know, we hold these from time to time to give folks the chance to share tools and experience and do minor mods/repairs on their rigs. I volunteered my driveway up for next Saturday if it worked out with this run's scheduling. Who is interested in doing this?

I got a call from TxDot last week... As of right now we are not supposed to have a hwy cleanup until we receive our new safety vests. The lady I spoke to said they would be in around the first week of December. I will check up on this when I get back to CS and let everyone know what's up.

If you guys want to do this, will one of the officers please publicize it a bit. As of right now, the only people interested that I know of are me, Ryan Clarke, and his royal Hummerness - probably not making it worth it...Regardless, I am planning on doing my CTM rebuild and could use a hand saturday.

I'm interested. I should have a steering box skid to install, and will want to be getting the box things to cut and drill for my rockers.

Sorry guys, I'm not going to be able to lead the group Sunday. I have too much else going on.

So another officer that will be attending needs to coordinate with Steve on the time and let him know that you will be in charge.

I will call him & unless they are having an event there that closes the park, we will be alright.

For the record, I am disappointed that I am having to do this, again. Officers needed to step up and take some responsibility for this (and the shirts, and ROTM, you name it).

With this being between finals I really don't see how you can blame anyone for not attending

He's not blaming anyone for not going, he is just stating that with the office comes certain responsibilities.

I wasn't miffed about the attendance part, that I totally understand. But if we set a date to go to BVORR, an officer should call Steve ASAP to make sure the day is open and give him notice. Additionally, I have had to make last minute calls to Steve a bunch of times now. I don't mind helping out, but this is not good for our relationship with BVORR either.

Robbie, thanks for taking responsibility - it's cool, I just like to give you guys a swift kick in the pants every once in a while. :gigem:

Something broke, we think on the back axle, although nothing seems to jump out. I'll take a look at it later.

Thanks bud... Should have aired down though...

I had allot of fun, I did not know where I was taking every one though.

No shame in asking for a spotter. I'd rather ask for one and look stupid than not ask and look even more stupid when I flip my ****.

And yeah, the truck is pretty much stock, but at least I can say I was going through the same stuff that the hardcore rigs were while the rest of the stock rigs parked and watched.

That must be coming from your years of experience wheeling...

I just didn't know there was anything out there that needed a spotter. When I romped around out there, there were barely trails much less obstacles that needed a spotter, or allowed someone enough room to safely spot from a distance.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with asking for a spoter, better safe than sorry. Oh, and you did almost everything the big rigs were doing. :gigem:

To his defense I think there were some new trails, that had some decent spots, most of the time was because his rig is just to big for the trail.

And I sure as hell didn't need to be spotted. :flipoff2:

Excellent point made tho, the FJ was being driven by a noob, mostly stock, and I was learning. Point is we all made stupid comments but the more experience you get the less you talk about how your vehicle is stock and the more you talk about how you pushed yourself to make it over the obstacle... :rainbow:
