-drivers side mirror sheared off
-rebent the drip rail I think on the same tree as I did over the summer, once again leaving me with an unopenable passenger rear door
-winch isn't pulling when under a load, I think its something to do with the free spool thing not being there
-front axle harmonic balancer weight donut thing ripped off
-rear cargo door doesn't open because rear bumper is a POS and is pinching it closed
-interior smells of really chitty beer

There was no apparent damage to my shaft or hub, a snap ring just popped out inside the hub, preventing it from engaging. One of the side serving trays on the propane grill flew out on the way back and ****ing annihilated my windshield on Pigpen. For better or worse the damage is on the passenger side. What this means is I probably wont be motivated to repair it for awhile.

Had my alternator go out too.

... did i mention i changed a few things? :flipoff2:

sophia snapped a 5/8" grade 8 bolt in half off my ram.
it is just a ****ty design, i will cut it off and just put some tabs directly on the tie rod.

other than that the only carnage was a motor mount bolt went missing which was causing my shift linkage to pop out of its frame support (****ty jeep design) ... my pit crew took care of that throughout the day.

I usually take 200-600 pics on one of these weekends that are ~2.5 meg a piece. It's not worth my time to use one of the free hosts for uploading that amount.

I'm considering getting the same host that scotti uses.

picassa web gives you like 1024mb for free.

i usually take bigger pictures but then just upload them smaller. there is an option when you upload on what size you want them to be.

picasaweb.google.com

this is what scott uses also. i like it better than those other sites.

My front pinion seal is leaking now, and other than the my steering woes (which I attribute to my short steering arms) I came out pretty unscathed. I didn't even turn my camera on as there seemed to always be someone else snapping pictures.

In short, I had a great time. It was great to see some of yall that I haven't seen in a while and to meet the rest of you. I think we have a very promising bunch of fish this year!

I already have over 14GB of pics and videos on my site hosted by imageevent. I have another couple gigs from this trip and I am sure Doug has more (since he never deletes his duplicates). I like uploading full size, it resizes them into several versions for your viewing pleasure automatically. It also handles captions edited locally in picasa (which I do before uploading, taking me a bit longer than most to upload). This costs me $65 per year + a little extra up front to remove the file size limits.

Doug, I will set up the folders and get you temporary access shortly.

Creighton, did you find the flashlight/headlight we were using Saturday night? Brian and I couldn't find it.

How did the A&A look when the last person left? I picked up some trash, but definetely not all. Cooke's mess looked sufficiently covered in oildry. The A&A certainly seemed cool with all the goings on and general shenanigans. Do we need to get an officer to maybe call up say thanks, or maybe send them something so we can stay welcome there in the future? Just a thought.

when we left it was just jimmys trailer sitting there. i tried to pick up beer cans and such out of the parking lot. there was alot of trash around the fire... including a couch.

Me and Scottie were the last ones to leave. Thanks whoever picked up the majority of **** around the campfire, it looked terrible when we went to bed saturday night. I finished picking up around there (mostly cooking stuff) and collected as many beercans as I could from everywhere. When I returned the hotel owners propane tank he seemed prety excited and happy (because we were leaving?) so I think we're allright.

I didn't have anything else to do in the morning so I burnt trash. Seems some people need to learn how to use a trash can, of course the stray dogs made a mess of the trash cans anyway.

I thought it actually looked pretty good when we left (and we were pretty much last out as usual). The manager was in very good spirits and thanked us when we were rolling out.

His wife made it a point to come up and ask how the weekend went and kept apologizing for not coming to hang out with us (said she had a cold). She asked if we had any trouble with the cops - I couldn't bring myself to tell her about Robbie's ordeal, but I did tell her he gave us some crap one night about the music and told her the "this is not a campground" quote. She said next time to let her know when that happens even when it is late and she will come tell him off...not sure if that is a good thing.

Ok, looking at the map on pirate, it looks like one of these:

KT's Trail
Blacksheep Blvd
8-Point

I remember Landon saying it was rated a 4 - so does anyone know if one of these is a 4? I have to get these labeled before I can upload.

Fredo

Well, Blacksheep is an extreme and 8-point is the trail right next to Blacksheep that I launched Lurch on last year, so I'm guessing it was probably KT's.

Agreed Jimmy, better every year. Weather was awesome. The company, even better.

Rocks, they break more than just scissors. :) My driveshaft sucks, but getting dropped off tomorrow. I'm not waiting for a change. Still no f'ing shims!

Coop, if I didn't know any better, I'd say from looking at your pictures that you love your "new" rig.

I must say that I was thoroughly impressed by the resources that this group brings to the table when it comes to resolving situations. The rigs at the bottom of Back Side Loop. Solved. It was awesome to see how helpful everyone was. Everyone worked together perfectly and safely. I also liked that nobody left until everyone was to the downhill part. Great effort, great driving, and lots of selfless acts. Even the guys bringing dinner out to the trail. That was a nice touch.

My trailer axle falling off and both wheels bent to crap. Solved. I was adjusting my mirrors on the first corner out of Clayton and held the wheel just a little too long. The truck went right to the edge of the road and the trailer went a little into the grass. The problem was when the trailer wheels hit the concrete block of the culvert wheel. Bam! I look back and there's a wheel heading down the ditch. I had to walk back to see what I had hit. Brandon picked up the wheel. I had two bent to crap wheels and an axle that was sheered off. But then the calvary arrived and I went from that to back on the road, all in about 30 minutes. Simply amazing! Special thanks to Fredo & St. John, and especially Ed for the on-hand welder. It got me home with no further issues. Anyone want to buy a trailer. ;)

You guys are some talented, hard working, and prepared bad asses. Thanks for another great trip!

We didn’t take all that many pics. I just kind of forgot that I even had the camera most of the time. Oh well. Post link shortly.

The only thing I wish is that I could have seen more folks wheel. I don't think I saw rouse, coop, pigpen, the big 800, etc.

Notes I took -

40-42" tires - I really like DaveO and Coop's TSLs
flat belly - the rig, but I guess I could work on that too!
low gearing with a standard - makes a standard a non issue on hills
CB!
V8 power
smallish body
lights
winch
beadlocks?
one tons - 9s are cool but pricey
Leaf Springs! - links are cool and all but not needed, more complicated, and prob more $$
Corbeau or similar seats.
Good passenger grab bars
Quiet motor - maybe not quite as quiet as Lyndas though.
OBA - york is the way to go

This is all in addition to the more traditional obvious stuff

spare parts - driveshafts, U-joints, U-joint straps, etc...

Chris, it wasn't KT's climb. That trail is closer to the begining, the trail we drove is further back past the back crossing. Not sure I saw a sign for the trail.......We passed that trail multiple times on Saturday also...

That makes it more likely to be 3 trail or Walk in the Park then. Landon, where are you?

What - you didn't like Lynda's seats either? Which passenger grab bars are better - mine or hers?
Winch that works...
Lights that work - interior, rock, reverse, and headlights
spare parts - driveshafts, U-joints, U-joint straps, etc...
rock sliders
strong diff covers

Both of the grabs are good, I tried talking lynda into giving me hers to put in the middle. That way I could pull myself towards the inside of the jeep.

Lynda's seats were great on the ass, John Brown's were good for side to side. Trying to remember what Dave's look like.

The dome light kicks ass. :gigem:

Also, permanently mounted storage. Don't even need that big of a box, just bolt it in.

Notice picture 157. This was taken with the camera lens on klogger door as we passed the 2nd time. We're pretty sure they were squatters. The first time around the lady picked up a "piece" and put it in her sweater when Jerry and I went to talk to her. I didn't notice this. This is why the camera was hidden on the way back.
