I received an email from tech off-road regarding their Texas College Weekend event hosted at Katemcy Rocks. The event date is March 7-8.

Copy of the email.

"We will have Texas College Weekend this year March 7-8 at Katemcy Rocks. It should be a lot of fun as it always is down there; along with a live band, BBQ/meal for Saturday night, and raffle give aways.

The event package comes with a T-shirt, raffle ticket, meal ticket, and helps pay for the band. Its an open weekend so anyone is welcome to come even if you dont buy the event package. We will order extra BBQ and sell it there saturday night, but it will be first come first serve though. March 7 will be here before you know it, so sign up asap!

This event also helps raise money for the make-a-wish foundation."

Here is the link to the event package:

you don't need 4wd, just get one honkin big set of mud grips and then beat the skinny pedal like you would one of those pesky little read headed kids your new wife already had. :)

Mud tires suck in sand, they just dig. A/T's traditionaly do better. Mashin the go pedal also results in mad wheel-hop if you have enough power to be taken seriously.

On a serious note, yeah AT's do pretty good in the sand, just air them down so they kinda float on top. From a couple of years back...

I testify that Pigpen will rip some **** in the sand drags.

Any chance I can try and run the dodge in a sand drag, or is that just asking for trouble? It's actually pretty damn quick.

really? i couldnt tell from last night. hopefully some dick doesnt place a curb by the sand.
