Alright i am hoping to have my pile of poop together by April 18or19 and would like have a trial run prior to tcc so that bugs can be worked out. I know karl will be out becuase the klogger will most likely be down for repairs. Come one come all, especially someone with a winch or a truck to pull my turd out if need be. Jerry you in for some beer drinking since this is by your casa?

take your pictures in the morning, then load up and go wheelin'!!! Besides, if he has to be forced out there, he may take it out on your tires again. ;)

i bet you pass miles of bluebonnets on the side of the road everyday;)

If someone kicks scott in the junk, does your purse wince?

Talked to Louis last night, he said the guy from his shop had every intention of being out there on Sunday. He said they were about to put the Dana 60 in Russ's jeep. Keep in mind they pulled the axle last Satruday and they are pulling it because Russ rolled the jeep while attempting a burn out on a city street at 11pm... Additionally a guy named Mike Beasley (spelling?) called me. Said he was trying to get on the board. He said he would be around the Spring Creek on Sunday.

My plan is to try and meet up around 11am. If you get out there and can't find me, try channel 12 on the CB. Jerry will be riding in the cab and answering calls, his handle is "Foxy Lady"

Come one come all!

JB
04-18-2009, 04:21 PM
Ill probably go, but the Jeep has been acting a little funny. I have to stop and pickup the trailer/Jeep in Tomball first, which is not really out of the way. I will probably leave CS 10ish if everyone is planning on an 11-12 meet time.

Klogger is on the trailer. I plan on arriving between 11 and 12. Frick is working to make it. He needs to put driveshafts in and load it up. The alternator is still very questionable....

Jerry, Krebs, and maybe a replacement friend are planning on being there.

kopecki may have to ride with jb if he has a spot, replacement friends will probably show up around noon.

Frick just fired it up and did a burn out! So it spins the tires and the brakes hold, we should be a go for launch...

good times!

jb beat on the grand cherokee like a mule! got some good pics on my phone.

people watching alone was worth it.

Some redneck swamped his $10k 4wheeler to the point it was floating with all four wheels sticking up. The creek was deep. karl forded it and water was upto the seats in the cab and over the hood.

Klogger overheating and jb broken belt ended our day but it was a good time!

A few pictures for everyone. These are the 4 wheeler guys, apparently they think if you stand a 4 wheeler up you will clear it out.....

Also you can see the guy riding 2 wheels out in the creek, right up until he lost it. The next picture shows 2 guys and you can see the 4 wheeler tires...

So after seeing this, I drove the klogger through it, you can see the water line on the door panel

The water was deep all around, so there were a lot of water crossings, as you can see in the first picture. Plus the normal puddles. John Brown got stuck in one, I pulled him out and then Jerry dared me to go through it. I figured I would see how deep it is, in the third picture I am standing up in the water, you can see how high the water got....

There are like 2 good ones of the klogger, a good one of that Sami, and another few of John Brown.

Also, while uploading the photos, I named one Sami, Carrie was looking over my shoulder and wanted to know who Sami was. Guess she thought I had some creek arse...

Bugs = broken valve stem on trailer, no spare tire for trailer, overheating issue, burned oil pressure sending unit line off, etc....

here's what i had on my phone:

1) jb getting squirrely on a hill
2) water in klogger kab when we decided to play oregon trail
3) klogger overheating
4) lonestar light? I have no idea...
5) klogger stuck (we got stuck the last time we were there in a hole about 5' away from this - had to wait for jb to get off the trailer so karl could winch off him)

I am going to change some fluids in it tonight and put on a new belt. I also bought a new track bar. Only thing I am worried about is the trans was shifting kinda funny near the end of day. I might have got water in it.

JB

The idler pulley seized up, thus breaking the already weak belt. Got it all put back together, changed fuel filter and oil, and it runs fine. I am not sure how the belt would cause it to not want to shift into gear without a little rev, but it shifts fine now.

There was still about 2" of water in it this afternoon:D
