Well , I think im going to try and convert my truck to a solid axle in the front. Its going to be alot of work i know, but i think it is possible. right now, i just want to get the axles so i can begin rebuilding them over the summer. I need a 1978-1979 ford dana 60 high pinion axle and a gm corporate 14 bolt (preferably 2001 or newer, since those have drum brakes)

let me know if you have these or know of someone who does. or if you have any other suggestions for axle choices tell me please

Don't you have that pretty Tan Crew Cab truck?? Why?? Please keep it pretty and use that thing as a tow rig since it actually is a good tow rig!

My truck was never meant to be anything more than a long distance wheeler for light/medium trails. I just needed to get the Hot Pocket Mentality out of my head in that first year of owning the truck...

You could also look for 99+ Ford axles. There's not as much desire for them so prices for the fronts are lower.

? they had drums from the beginning. so are you trying to say before 2001 so you get drums or after 2001 for disc?
