It appears that the land Spring Creek is on is being taken by the state. I saw Luis last night and he told me this. Then I did some internet research and found these 2 posts:

This post has the Spring Creek guy Roland on it:

It seems he does not have a move out date, other than it is coming. I know Spring Creek was not a premier off roading destination, but I still think it sucks. It was the only place close for us Houstonians to "legally" wheel a full size rig.

sucko, after the 2nd time to really drive around and "wheel" there, i was less impressed with the place. It was a nice place to drink beer though since it was so close to the house. I'll miss seeing all the rednecks driving by though.

closing it down for a nature preserve....except there is one 1/2 mile down the creek.

from my neighborhood website:

Spring Trails is a masterplan of innovation. Spacious homes peacefully coexist with heavily-wooded surroundings.

A master-planned community
Over 400 acres of forest dedicated to nature and open space

so now we have 440 acres for what some deer and a sh!t ton of feral hogs...ghey.

That sucks, when I still lived in Houston I went there at least once a month. It's 15 min.s from my house...

that sucks! the last time we went out (with Rodney) they let us play on the comp courses and that was pretty sweet. Ended up tearing up all kinds of stuff...
