I wanna be able to do some of this:

and this

as well as pull bearings and axleshafts, etc. I've never owned one, but the slide hammers that Eastwood carries (http://www.eastwood.com/heavy-duty-slide-hammer.html)seem to be pretty much for pulling welded pins only, so I think I might want something more versatile. Are there features in a slide hammer that I should look for, or just buy a cheapo? Just buy the one that comes with a molded case and a pile of attachments (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=38878)? HF has 2, 5, and 13 lb...the eastwood one is 10lbs. Preference?
Thanks

I would go with el-cheapo cause it's pretty hard to screw up anything with "hammer" in the name...as long as there is a 3-jaw puller available for it. I'm not sure what thread the HF one has on the end.
