I'm planning on leaving around 3 or 4 tomorrow. I have a lunch appointment so can't leave a whole lot earlier that 3.

I'll have done more maintenance this year than the last 4 combined though.

- Rotated tires.
- Added fuel pickups.
- Charged battery.
- Cut off broken t-case brake bracket.
- Pounded out hood (I guess it came up coming home from AZ, don't remember) :)
- Added two bungy cords to hold the front grill straight

Still no replacement drive shafts. :( Higgs has been notified though so hopefully it's cool.

Kolpecki, I'm bringing your strap, gloves, and cooler that you left from the AZ trip.

Busa, I have your bas ass bomber style head wrapper in my glove box from last year.

Great trip. The Bronco is beat up, but worked very well with the assist and tires. I noticed this morning, after I could not get it into a gear, that I crunched the trans pan up pretty bad, and pinched off the exhaust. Hopefully there is no internal damage. The assist worked great, I just need to redo one line and I should then not have any leaks. I bend the inner part of a rim and once we found a 4 way to get the tire off, it was an easy fix.

We had a pretty good turnout despite several people noticably not there. I did not get a head count. I am very amazed that the A&A lets up keep coming back.:D

The Tator Hill Tavern was much better this year too.:gigem:

I drank alot. Its going to take a week to recover.

Fun Facts:

* 8.5 gallons is not enough gas for the klogger to wheel for 2 days.
* 37" tires + 3.55 axles makes C6 ANGRY!
* Chalk another one up for TTB w/ no breakage!
* The Klogger - It transport people on the road, on the trail, or on the trailer.

Awesome trip...obviously time for a new clutch in the buggy, but other than that came out unscathed. Even with the "Flip".

Speaking of which, I think someone got the video, I'd like to get a copy of that original. Steven, for your info, Ryan Clarke was driving, I was spotting - last obstacle of the last trail of the trip(Redneck Millionaire), we took a hard line just for the hell of it. I think we made it up further than anyone else did (without a winch), but just couldn't figure out how to get the buggy turned toward the trail exit (probably should have tried a front dig much earlier, in hindsight). Due to some "audience encouragement" we kept trying after we probably should have backed down. Thanks to Busa and Scott's help, we got it righted quickly, and drove it out while Busa's winch continued to hold it upright. It was a bit violent of a flip, so Ryan took quite a jarring and was a little sore, but he was expecting to roll and came out of it smiling. Other than a smallish dent/bend in the roof cage and accelerating an already noticeably worn clutch's demise, it didn't do anything to the buggy. I hope it was entertaining to all :D

I think the waterpump on the ford quit on the way back. Overheats at idle very quickly. Don't think it's the fan clutch. Luckily it still has almost 400 miles and 1 month of warranty left. Fixed the dodge last night.

Tommy and I got the backyard arranged nicely. 2 boats, 2 trailers, and 2 jeeps back there and still easy to get everything in and out.

i started off the weekend horrible but it turned into an awesome trip.

the Klogger limo service was awesome, even if it did cost me a swift kick in the nuts.

I am extremely impressed with Colmans CJ. even iff he did roll it on the last obstacle of the trip.

I think we set a record for quickest back to camp, build a driveshaft from scrap, and continue wheeling for the rest of the weekend.

tater hill had the best bad ever, JB's conversation with the locals on the road block and '**** the longhorns', sharpe eating pickled eggs, and dancy goofy crying slow guy proved to be worthwhile entertainment. tommy and karl also received some great tater hill memorabilia.

whats the issue with tate? i heard the axle tried to remove itself going down the highway, but really couldnt figure out what went down after that.

Great trip, lots of fun as always.

Robbie- Picking you up and dragging you back was no problem at all.

Looks like I was the club retard this year and I sincerely apologize to everyone. There is no excuse for my actions, it won't happen again. Tyler is a good friend of mine and even though he would have been justified in completely beating my ass, he didn't which I respect that. Also I've noticed how I've been drinking a lot this last semester and while its led to some great memories it's also led to some really bad decisions; therefore, I'm putting an end to that and re-focusing on my life goals. Hope y'all don't mind if I continue to stick around.

My carnage:
Busted ****ing head
lost pride

I don't mean to mess-up this thread, so let's not discuss this here, and for your time I give you this:

Cruiser did well. A few dents, but nothing is broke that didn't show up that way... oh wait, except the end of my winchline. It broke as I was hauling myself over the last ledge of KT's Climb.

I need to wheel more often. I forget how fun it is. We covered a lot of ground on Saturday, up BlackSheep, CakeWalk, and most of Redneck Millionaire. Still wanted to run Black Mamba Extension but ran out of time.

Kind of, but mostly because nobody went that way. No winches were pulled until flipping Ryan back over. Busa and Scott went the easier left. I took the center, up against the tree. Ryan took more of a "non line" than a hard line (far right). Without going backwards, that rig came off that rock about the only possible way it could have from that point. :gigem: The line that he came off on was the best look he had the whole time up there. I was surprised it went over that hard. Glad he was OK and the rig had almost no damage. I'm not sure if that's from thick tubing or a light rig, but it faired very well.

Good times indeed. Missed some of you regulars. The funniest thing of the whole trip was Cody and Rodney taking turns rolling on the AC unit, jaming out to Bad Romance. Still makes me laugh.

That would still be in the back of Ed's Beast, I think. It was used for John Brown's wheel. I am sorry that didn't make it back to you, I thought it had. If someone has Ed's number would they please give him a shout? He may still be in CS and could leave it with someone?

Figured out why my hydro assist was being a biatch towards the end of saturday which led to complete loss of power steering on the way back to the motel... One of my hydro ram lines rubbed on the crankshaft pulley under suspension flex causing a nice leak.

Is your head ok after that? You looked like you were hurtin' bad.

broke welded rear spiders sat... we rewelded them and got to wheel sunday.. smashed the oil pan again so it leaks bad, smashed pass fender, broke longside front shaft. cut a large chunk out of fake lock on one rim, 2 centercaps, and on the tow home both upper control arms ripped in half taking us from 75 to 0 in a few hundred yards... that broke front driveshaft ujoint, tire wear and bent tierod some... good times were had... thanks to ed and creighton for the rescue on the way home

Yeah... The TJ fenders don't hold up so well, but they don't look that bad... Check out mine, or even better Creighton's.

Holy **** balls, how do you tear a control arm?

They are just stamped sheet medal, surprisingly common.

those last three pics are where i tore out my mount at.
It's ironic that my jeep made it up that just fine but the exit trail to the right that you took is where I sheared my front output yoke... That **** was slippery and I had to lay in to the foot print pedal.

Busted ****ing head

For those that remember (and care) the dachshund that Sofia had found up the mountain one week ago in Ok. has made huge strides towards becoming healthy. Took him to the vet last Mon. and the poor little guy was messed up. Obvious ticks and fleas, ear mites, hookworms, and advanced lime disease, dehydration and malnutrition (weighed 9lbs, normal would be 13-15lb). After a week of medication and good food/rest he's beginning to act like a normal dog again.

At the time I wasn't sure if taking him back with us was the right thing to do or not. After talking to the vet I now know there was no other alternative. Lime disease in its advanced stage is never entirely curable but will go into remission, spurring up from time to time throughout his life.

Almost lost him on Tues. of last week. An effect of lime disease is uncontrollable bleeding from mucous membranes (eyes, nose, ears, ex.). He started bleeding and had a hard time stopping. Spent some time at the vet again and like I said, one week later, is beginning to wag his tail and bounce around a little.

Thanks to everyone who supported this decision. Unfortunately, going to be a while until he's a normal pup again.

well yes, but it's blood-borne and I presume it could be transmitted by other critters if the critter were to bite your dog and then you within a short enough time frame. Lyme disease is no fawkin joke.
