Some places we haven't been recently,

Gilmer on the 7th of November would be a fun overnight trip. Game against Colorado won't be televised and I doubt many folks would be making that road trip, to Colorado.

Im down for anytime in November I think.

Spring Creek is good for drinking beer.

November is good Gilmer weather for drinking whiskey and hanging by a fire.

though i prefer gilmer, for the record spring creek is ninety miles from cs. If it takes you two hours your name is Ms. Daisy.

I'd like to make two trips in November, one to spring creek and the other to Gilmer. My parents place is close to spring creek and would be a good spot for post wheeling festivities/a place to crash for the night.

We could do a trip to Gilmer on one of the away game weekends. Head up on Friday and come back Sunday.

Might be fun if we could go to spring creek then party/BBQ/camp at robbies if he is cool with that. It would be a good new member run. If my pile is running by November I would like to take it somewhere pre Clayton, but gilmer is pushing it on trip distance/money that close to clayton.

With my current lazy history with putting the jeep together I will most likely not make anywhere in November.

J Cooper
10-08-2009, 08:16 PM
i would go if it is somewhere close, gilmer is pushing it if we are going to clayton a month later ( i would like to go to gilmer though ), i like kevins idea, not sure if i will take the jeep but i will go

i will most likely be moving on the 7th, so thats the only date i can not do.

Never been to Gilmer either, so I'd be down for that, too.

Also, the place I found in this thread (http://tamor.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10737) recently changed owners and is now Hidden Falls (http://www.hiddenfallsadventurepark.com/).

I wouldn't count on wheeling Sunday, it interferes with the traditional schedule of weekend trips:

Friday
Arrive
Those who are here, wheel a little bit
Drink
Drink

Saturday
Wake up, eat
Wheel
Drink
Wheel some more
Drink
Get some more trails in before dark
Drink
Drink
Pass out

Sunday
Wake up, hung over
Eat
Pack up ****
Leave

things not allowed at spring creek:

1) Guns
2) Intelligence

If your dog doesnt get along with other redneck dogs you will be in for some fun. There are random dogs running all over in the parking lot.

Doug Krebs
11-15-2009, 06:14 PM
Robbie either burnt up his converter, tranny or both.

Mr. Zap surfered his winch cable pulling all the way off his winch. Should be a simple fix with a new ring terminal.

Frick had so much body flex that the brake booster actually slammed into the valve cover denting it so the valve train hit the cover.

Karl will probably need to repack his bearings and change the front diff fluid.

I think garret ripped of his door handle and suffered a little body damage.

Who am I forgetting?

I think it was my motor mounts, hopefully that will fix the problem along with the hoping out of drive while in low range.

Hopefully Brians freind can get some pics to us.

I think we are gonna go out there again in a couple weeks for another shakedown run.

I think the Klogger needs a new power steering pump. It started to smoke and I took the cap off of to add fluid and smoke came out....

Good trip. I think we had 4 "new this year people". The freshman with the red jeep had a sweet rig. I think we were all impressed with it. Have to give it to the new guys, none of them got stuck or had to be towed back, mean while Frick and Robbie had to be towed back and I had to be pulled out twice (thanks Flem it is the best 4x4 by far)

Awesome weekend! Good times were had wheelin' and partying, it was great to have everyone over for the festivities.:gigem:

Tried to unstick the Klogger but only managed to move it a foot and break a strap. Towed Kevin's conglomeration back to camp after it sprayed me and coop with mud while making valve cover whoopie. The jeep did well for the most part, first noticed the trans issue at a steep angle on the comp course. At the end of the day we had a PINKS esque sand drag, made a pass then lost forward gear completely and only had reverse.

What you don't see in that video is Coop, Frick, and myself off to the left taking a rather unique line... Ended up lifting my front left tire about 5 feet off the ground and almost went over.
