Alright I'm collecting my parts for the tbi swap on the wagoneer, and I'm wondering what parts of the wiring harnes do I need. Also will I need any other sensors etc. Do I just need the under hood wiring harness? Is there one computer that is any better than another?

91 or older is easier. maybe its 92. part num is 1227747 and it has 2 black connectors. red and blue is later, slightly more complicated, but the diagnostics are much better. updates 10 times a second with lots of info vs basic info once every 1.2 seconds.
camaro stuff also works, but its got one more sensor, air temp

I think the computer ending in 7747 is the most popular one. To figure out what wires to remove I just the wiring diagram in my haynes manual for the camaro, and somewhere around here I have a booklet with all the pinouts for the computer to tell you which grounds, 12v switched, and 12v constant wires you'll need to keep for the computer and the aldl. I'll see if I can find it if you need it.

you should do multiport, I hear there is some kickass new tuning software out for it ;)

FYI I have at least 3 complete TBI setups with puters and harnesses at my shop. I'll be there for a little while longer today so if you figure out what you need call me and I'll dig through my **** and see if I have it. I know two of the computers are out of 89 suburbans, dont remember what the 3rd is off hand. There might be another one or two around. I'll check.

I didn't know diy-efi was back to doing free stuff. I got some info from them years ago when it was free, then they wanted a membership that cost like $20 and I did that too. Then they had some big server crash and wanted to charge a ton more money for info so I never rejoined. Guess I'll have to bookmark it again.:)
