Looking for a d-44 or d-60 front axle, passanger drop.

If d-44 I would preferably like it from a wagoneer or scout.

Would like 4.88s and it being built but will buy stock if the price is right.

If you know of any let me know, or just keep your eyes open for me.

Thanks

possibility, but plus price of gears/carrier/cover/inner shafts. Don't you also have to rotate the knuckles on scouts? That would suck.

Yeah you do need to rotate the inner C's. It's a pain but isn't too bad (few hours and you're done). I gave $50 for it so I will sell it for that. It isn't going anywhere so let me know if things change.

i think i've got a deal with colman, my d-44 waggy narrowed housing that I gave him, plus chevy longside axle shaft to narrow, yoke, and cover.

Pick up 4.88s, carrier, bearings, shims from a guy in san antonio

Add all my outers and find a waggy short side shaft.

Done

I can sell you a chevy d44 long side shaft cheap if you want to get a spare made at the same time. Somehow I have 1 left, currently used as a door stop.

unless colman is being a super-jew, he should have a complete set of shafts.

thats it though its fullize. Hes going to sell me the long side one so I can get it narrowed. Instead of running another custom narrowed shaft on the short side, I'm going to use a stock waggy short side instead. (but he doesn't have one of those).

80 and newer waggys yes you would be right they are the same width. 79 and earlier are narrower.

this thread makes my head hurt, if you just run full widths you dont have to have any fancy shafts that are special widths made.. Jeep people like to spend to much money

good idea frick! Buy my dodge dana 60 which is 2" more narrow then a chevy and run h1 rims. I think the arms I built will allow this.

i forgot about another axle i had, its 8 lug 44 63.5" wide, no custom shafts. all chevy full size except for long side which is waggy so replacements are easy to get
