Specs:
1967 Scout w/ title on...

80-86 bronco frame
351W
C6
Np208
9"
TTB 44(which i hear is the best axle ever made)
plastic racing buckets
hurst ratchet shifter
MSD Ignition
full roll cage err... light bar

To say the body mounts/spacers are creative is an understatement.

luckily everything is hooked together and seems to be in working order. has decent 33" pro comp m/t's. the body seems semi strait.

Note: not mine, this is Rob's aka weldor's new project. will have some pics up tomorrow of this beauty. frick might be jealous of its awesome condition, it battles his in comparison. :flipoff2:

In it's stock form it is actually unbreakable and can help cure cancer, but you do not want to do any maintenance on it, as you might break it when you take it apart...

and supposedly more powerful than the tears of Chuck Norris.

If Chuck Norris was a four wheel drive axle, he would be TTB....

So any pictures of this Finternational?

After seeing the pics, I'll take a not-so-wild guess that he's the proud owner of a lincoln locker :flipoff2:

so what is the story on yours eckert? Ive been thinking an early scout would be a cool trail rig for a while now. after seeing shupes and that one on 42s last year esp. i guess im partial to scouts having had one previously.

is that a plywood floor?

Eckert
01-11-2010, 10:45 PM
is that a plywood floor?

no, the rear floor is actually the most solid part on it. they just went crazy with aluminum covering everything up.

got it to run off ether, think the fuel pump is shot. got the rear halfway torn down to see what is going on.

seth- give me a few days to get everything in order and ill start a build thread.

That looks fun. Odd setup, but fun. That seat makes my kidney and a half want to cry though. :)

Well 9" is a welded carrier, pulled the third member out and water and a sludgeish type fluid came out. Needs disc brake conversion and every bearing in the bitch replaced.

stx4wheeler

Might be cheaper to just get another 9 than replace all the bearings. I also have the club spare nine inch shaft that has traveled prolly across the world but not in an axle. I will give him if he wants it. It has a good bearing in it I believe.

Eckert

It runs like a champ.

also, need a new ford 9", this one is fawked.

new third, or whole axle?

Eckert
01-17-2010, 02:03 AM
whole axle. trying to see if its cheaper to pay $140 for a master rebuild and establish a learning curve on setting up gears, pressing bearings, etc. or find a 9" in usable condition. Then add either rebuilding the brakes or going discs for ~$120.

well, TTB brings the suck, to replace the passenger side shaft, you have to tear the entire front end apart. lame.

KrazyKarl02
01-24-2010, 10:10 PM
I am guessing you broke the inner, inner shaft. You can replace the outer and middle shaft without removing the center section. But I am guessing you figured this out, If I were you, I would just do a straight axle swap, it is about the same amount of work... :flipoff2:

The splines on the slip part of the shaft are whats broke

after a long night the TTB is back together. but we forgot to put the disc/washer back on the radius arm. i do believe the exact words where "fvck it". that is a god damn abortion of a axle and doesn't warrant any kind of work, ever.

will it push through the bushing like that?

Yeah, you have to wonder what kind of drugs the designers at Ford took during the creation of that.
