I am taking the Taco and Fugly to visit Green Acres and test the waters for the new and improved rigs. Gonna stay at the A&A, anyone up for it?

How'd it go? Any problems with the local highway patrol while driving to the trail head like people have been talking about? Or did you trailer to slim's?

Ended up calling it off due to the thunderstorms that rolled in up there on friday and weren't supposed to let up till sunday. We are going to head up there this weekend.

So you were staying at the Sardis or the CCI? Do I need to call and get them to hook you two up with adjoining rooms, or just get a kitchenette so you make him breakfast in bed??? :flipoff2:

Ya...here's to hoping.:flipoff2:

Awesome time this weekend. The rain adds a new level of difficulty to most of the trails. The cherokee rocked on Friday. Saturday the arb crapped out first thing (blown oring - air coming from diff vent). Still did well all day, until I got a little c0cky and decided to break away from 8-point to follow the rest of our group up a short section of Blacksheep.:D By the time I got to the top where Blacksheep, Walter's Mule Road, and Cake Walk meet I had two punctured tires and taco'ed the tie rod and steering stabilizer. Winched up to the top, made some trail repairs, and headed on back to camp.:gigem:

Thanks to Chris and his dad for winching one of our group out of a spot. Evidently the previous owner of a rig in our group neglected to tell the new owner that his rockwell axles were being spun by 1310 yokes on the stak tcase.:nuke:

Man Saturday turned out to be a great day for wheeling. Got to run wet n wild, jeffs ledges, 8 point and cakewalk before we went back to town for lunch. Came back out and made a wrong turn into the creek and had to do a 15 point turn to get out and blew a longfield. That's right I said LONGFIELD. Guarenteed up to 37" tires my ass. But the lifetime warranty is still pretty great.

It was about 5 at this point so pops and I loaded it up on the trailer and made it back home by 9. Overall a great day.

just call bobby and he will make it right, are you sure it was a longfield and not an inner?

All the shafts are Long's, but no I am not certain. And yeah I know they will take care of it, just got to pull it this next weekend. Without it having a windshield or doors anymore I am storing it out at my parents ranch in their barn, so I have to wait till the weekend to tear it down.

No windshield and no doors means I have to keep a tarp on it. Tarp on vehicle and HOA don't mix and it is too tall to fit in my garage.

EDIT: I see what you mean in my previous post I meant to say windshield but was thinking about something else and my fingers typed it.

ahh, that makes sense, would covering it with a car cover work for the HOA? thats what I have done for the past few years with my blazer to keep the neighbors happy

Prolly not a bad idea. I would have to read the HOA regulations for our community and see what it says about that.

our hoa is one of those with no real power. its more like a group of people who get together with nothing in the deed.... but they call the city when they want something done
