If you want to call 2 lovely ladies, kneeboarding drunk behind a jacked up ATV a "big redneck fest with mud", then sure.

If you want to call getting a handy while piloting a 55 yr old women's Rhino through deep water holes, while eating a peice of fried chicken that she had cooked for her husband, a "big redneck fest with mud, then sure.

If you want to call bellyflopping into a 5' deep mud hole, while wearing a Joe Dirt wig, in order to hook up a strap to your buddies tow rig that he just submerged, a "big redneck fest with mud" then sure.

If you want to call running 75% of the SHiloh Ridge trails in a Ford Windstar minivan, a "big redneck fest with mud", then sure.

If you want to call purpose built trailers equipped with christmas lights and a stripper pole, a "big redenck fest with mud" then sure.

Did you not listen to Jeremiah and I speak of this magical place around the campfire at K2?

In good concience and as an affiliated club in good standing with the university, the club will not be able to allow you to attend any function that coincides with official Corps functions that are as important as March-Ins.

JB

Most of the craziness goes on at the area labled "mud pits". We usually camp just east of helicopter hill(or down a couple inches on the linked map above) along the tree line. This area is not very flat, so any sort of travel trailer might be a bitch to set up level. But this area is away from all the dust, which if you have been there, you know is bad if its dry. If it is really wet, the grass can get slick. I have had to use 4wd on the truck if the trailer is hooked to it before.

Bring firewood, lots of food, water, gallons of water to shower off with, beers, tents, chairs, advil, lots of spare clothes, towels. Think I might bring my riding mower, to mow down the high grass where we will be camping.

Should be fun. I plan on getting there either Thursday night or Friday before lunch. If you plan on getting there Friday night, plan on a line of truck/trailers about 2 hours long. Srsly.

It will still be pretty damn loud, welders like Ed's run at 3600 RPM. The quiet gens are 1750 RPM. At the higher RPM there is just a lot of valve noise and even noise coming through the intake.

What do you want to power Ed?

My RV. I have a 7500w, but it is not quiet. It doesn't bother me in the trailer, but the folks that are tent camping might not care for it too much.

Almost forgot, in an attempt to fit in even better with the local wildlife, I took my shirt off Friday night while in line to get in and didn't put it back on until Sunday morning on the way out. I thought I would sunburn really bad, but I used sunblock and a layer of dust to keep the sun off!!!

they truck in water if need be for the big events

yeah they flood the ponds. I've been there when it was a drought and there is still a mudpit. 10000 rednecks on 4 wheelers dont come to play in egypt.

I hope they do, but I have not seen it done before. There is only 1-2 small tank/ponds around the pits to pump out of.

I thought they use to put in water from the creek, but even it was dry.

little bit of every thing they hauled hard and soft wood

if it were split and dried you could get $75 a cord for the soft wood and probably $200 plus for the hard in Colorado.

you should stack it up then we can haul it to colorado on a gooseneck and make some money

cj nut
10-09-2010, 03:04 AM
