Okay colman, you didn't hear the rev limiter because my Jeep is largely controlled by a computer... which sucks dick... and negates what I do to the throttle

Looks kinda like spring creek. The JK still has a limiter on it.

Yes but his might be a "soft" rev limiter unlike mine or it is throttle by wire and the computer let's off the throttle for you which would blow

why do you want it to bang off the limiter instead of sit just under it and keep pulling?

That's not what I'm sayin, I can control my RPMs just fine but the computer ****s it up and literally drags me down to 3500 or so.

Guy on the JK forum says he fixed that problem by pulling the fuse for the ESP, which I already have disabled... But I guess I will do that ***

My rev limiter is mechanical, if the engine gets going too fast it will shoot a piston through the hood to tell me to lay off.

After working on buying parts for a few of the JK's we've had to work on here at the shop lately I'd suggest you keep any engine saving electronics intact as you can. The last one had less than 20k miles, a rod through the side of the block and an auto trans that looked like someone had built a campfire inside of. We have another that was a theft recovery that caught on fire when the would-be theives drove it through a field trying to evade capture.

haha well I've kept up on maintenance and everything, so I hope my tranny isn't fried  I've got about 28K on mine though, and they're all mine so I know it's been taken care of

Yeah that was more muddy water on top of mud and I made my way out just fine. Definitely had water gurgling into my cabin though :D But make it or not, the computer didn't help me any...

i mention that because if you have an auto you need to make shure no water got it. water in a tranny will kill it fast....

MR.ZAP

I believe I had the tranny fluid changed not too long? I could be wrong though... Highly doubt any water is in it as I FOR SURE had my diff. fluid changed not too long ago and there was nothing in it. Where would be a good place to go for a tranny fluid change though?

its not hard to just drop the pan and change the filter, but it doesnt change all the fluid in it........ but its by far better than nothing...

you can drain the converter and pop a cooler line and get pretty close.
