I'm looking for one or two 40' ones and a 20' one. Let me know if you know of any good places to get them or someone selling some. Thanks!

Guy in Brenham on 290 wants ~$2100 for a 20 footer delivered.

I can't find his phone number, but here's where he is.

I was hoping for deals like these:

20 ft. Shipping/Storage - $1,500
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220655094771

40 ft. Shipping/Storage Containers - $1,700
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220655095661

The problem is that those are in Miami. :(

The price I got was for delivery to the Elgin area (~65 miles). I imagine you could get a better deal if you pick it up.

This was another reason that I wanted to install the 7-pin RV plug on the back of the red GN. It will make it real easy to throw a set of towing/boat lights on the back of a 40' (or two 20'ers) when I haul them home as the GN is only 32'.

BDR, maybe this is them? http://www.metrocontainer.net

For $1,000 each, I'll take care of hauling them. We'll see what they say. Thanks.

Yes, that's them. They quoted you $1k? Damn...I'll haul it myself as well.

They want $1k for delivery, or they are selling them for $1k?

The reason I said $1,000 is because the difference in what those Miami ones cost ($1,700) vs. what I'm seeing them for sale ($2,900).

I talked to Eric at Metro. Delivery from Brenham is only $250, so that's not bad at all. But the containers are not as low as I'd like:

20' $2,150 spot primed ($2,000 as is)
40' $3,150 spot primed ($2,950 as is)

It's AN option though.

College Station - Miami - College Station = ~2600 miles round trip

Average 8mpg (10 empty, 6 loaded) @ $3.30/gallon

325 gallons / $1072.50 cost.

I don't know that you could get your mpg up much from that loaded #, but you might do a bit better on the 'empty' stretch of it.

6/14mpg = $858.00

14 would be REALLY pushing it with my heavy ass trailer.

Close to 43 hours of driving also, but would be a hellufa trip!!!

Just made that trip. Not interested. :)

I'm not even interested in driving to Dallas for the weekend, another Miami trip is definitely out. I did email him to see if there was someone that he knew in Houston that I could get them from. I just need to dig deeper and get setup to buy them direct.
