How should I mount my winch fairlead on my bumper?

I was thinking about just a 1/4" Plate butt welded to the surface and a triangular gusset on each side?

how much stress do these see? I guess it could have 10,000lbs on it right?

Post a picture of the front bumper on your bronco so people can see what you're working with.

Also, wouldn't it be cool if there was a place where everybody could ask their random tech questions? :flipoff2::flipoff2:

I'd double or even triple that number if you're behind the wheel :flipoff2:

if the welds have good penetration then that should be pleanty strong tommy, i would think that you wouldnt even need 1/4 you should be fine with 3/16 material. I am using 3/16 for my 12k winch fairlead with out any triangulation and it only flexes a little
