It's that time again, anyone interested in helping BRT, recovering some high-speed racers and wheeling the Texana Ranch post up. If you want to wheel, you need to help out with the race and have to be there for the safety meeting early Saturday.

Requirements:
CB
safety gear
Lighting (more than just head lights)
power-wire inside the cab for GPS tracking
food and water
*** Must be completely self sufficient ***

The race:
It will probably start out really exciting and end boring, however I think it's safe to say everybody that went last race have a great time. Expect to be positioned, away from camp, for 12 hours (race is noon-midnight) and expect dust.

I'll probably get there late Friday and leave Sunday, there is not much for the way of lodging so bring a tent/camper/RV.

Same, I'm not missing this one as long as there are no conflicts.

Hell yeah, you should register. Although I think your lack of uptravel may make things a little painful. Maybe if you steal Joel's PRP seats it would be bearable.

Bump, any updates?

I'll be ready to leave CS Thursday afternoon at 4. One of my really good buddies will also be coming down from Lubbock, he drives a 2011 FJ. I'll try to include some pics of his rig.

I don't think you understand that Texana ranch has quite possibly the best wheeling in Texas, not just high speed stuff

The trip was awesome, except for my buddy Tyler's bad luck. Leaving Thursday afternoon, so I could be there Thursday night and all day on Friday, was definitely worth it. Got to spend a lot more time meeting new people and learning as much as I could. Also got an entire day to roam the ranch freely, as long as we stayed off the course, during prerunning on Friday. I think I brought home a few cubic yards of Texana Ranch dirt in and on my truck and clothes.

As for the race-dezert thread, that was not my doing so don't jump down my throat for it.

Did you get to suit up and take a picture? The only reason hudson didn't get to take a lap at the race was that the race-buggy broke!

No I didn't, we told everyone goodbye and thank you on saturday night, and let Chris know that i was leaving when i got up sunday morning. I got up Sunday morning and headed strait to CS. As for my race lap in the predator, I'll remind Matt at the next race.

For the guys that have been out there and are familiar with BRT.. . . . Does anyone run the 7s class (stock mini or mid sized trucks)? When I go to BRT site I only see pics of unlimited classes and race results for pro-truck classes. Is there not room in this group/races for stock class trucks?

BroncoJo
05-31-2012, 10:30 PM
Yes

06-01-2012, 06:54 AM
Yes, people do run the stock class?

or

Yes, there is no room for stock vehicles with this group.

Care to elaborate?

What are your thoughts on a new guy getting into this sport (desert racing) and BRT? Pay my fee, show up with a class vehicle, and have a good time racing? I think this group may be a bit more serious then that?
