Echo is good stuff. curious to see if it slips away after a while in the big boxes.

you mean you are curious to see if the quality goes down since they sell it at home depot now?

I'm an Echo fan. Have the baddest-dood weedwhacker they make at my shop. Its a beast and runs like a mofo. Have a little bad-dood 14" chainsaw as well. It gets 'er dun just fine. All small engine tools I buy will be Echo from now on.

I have both stihl and echo back home, can't go wrong with either. Used to mow ranches for a summer job so both were put through their paces and neither ever broke on me

Which ever you get I would recommend a straight shaft over a curved one, they tend to last longer

I have a Stihl, been a bad dood so far
Stihl dealer in downtown Bryan. Buy local! Both my weedeater and blower are Stihl. Good stuff. I want a chainsaw soon. It will prob be a Stihl.
We Rent it is also a Stihl dealer. Ike's might be both. Also - Bryan outboard? is a stihl dealer?

If you want the best get a stihl, but you gotta pay the premium. :( no experience with echo but an urging has to better then my craftsman $99 special. I have used plenty of stihl chainsaws and weedeaters and they honestly are night and day difference.
