So i came across this and the deal was too good to pass up. I am planning on a mild lift, some 33's or 35's, a paint job, re do the seats, windshield, and drive it. If you happen to have any of the above listed parts for sale or a '71 cruiser fuel tank let me know. It looks rough but there is very little actual rust just some surface rust.

That thing is sweet. The body looks fairly strait too

nice. whats all that stuff on the front?

also, I see you are looking for a 3 speed conversion.

since you are swapping stuff around with the transmission have you considered putting a sm420 in its place? I seem to remember it being very trivial to put one in there. Like 50 bucks in materials cheap plus driveshafts. The output spline matches the bull gear spline (imagine that, toyota copied something)

Random, but I think I still have a tank laying around.

can you take take a look and if you find it how much would you want for it? also it needs to be one from a mid 72 or ealier.

I already cut the stuff off the front, it was a hunting rig so there was a deer rack on the front, i will be buiilding a front bumper for it once i get some other stuff done on it, i have not looked into the sm420 swap but it all depends on how worn out the 3 on the tree is, if it it in good shape then I am going to leave the current set up for a while

I have the tank and filler neck. Mine is a '70 I believe. It's yours whenever you want it.

Nope. I'll check with my Mom though. She goes down there regularly. What area of town are you in? Do you live by Ikea, close to my sister?

well I got it running, all it needed was a new fuel pump, plugs, wires and I upgraded to HEI ignition since it cost the same as replacing the old ignition parts that I needed and now it does not run using points. I picked up DaveO's old fuel tank in trade for my stock springs. I got the lift on it. Now all I need is new tires, a windshield frame, some seats and it should be a good driver. Then it will be the task to get it street legal. Pictures to come tomorrow when it is light out.

Well I ordered some parts.

New blinkers
New tail lights
Some bushings
Master clutch kit (old one went out as I was loading it on the trailer to take it to the ranch)
Transmission top shift conversion

Now I need to figure out the brake parts I need and get those ordered so that they are in when I get back into the Country early June. Maybe I will have it running well for a DSO trip by the end of my trip home.
