Taking the family on a CO trip.
We are taking the stockish JKU.
Just put new tires on the dodge and trailer so hopefully wont have any tire issues.
Leaving Friday and staying in Amarillo Friday night.
Traveling to Colorado Springs and staying Saturday night.
Plan to hit some trails near Colorado Springs Saturday.
Traveling to Estes Park Sunday and staying Sunday - Wednesday night.
We will do all the stuff the YMCA has to offer. Hiking, swimming, hay rides, craft crap...
I do plan on hitting some of the easier trails in the area. 3 Rated or less.
Pole Hill is a harder 4-5 Rated trail I might hit alone if I can get away.
We will leave Estes Park Thursday morning and start working our way home.
We have a wedding down here Saturday night we have to be back for so the trip home will be a little quicker.

Looking for ideas on what trails are a must along the way and around Estes Park.
I have been studying TrailDamage.com and have found quite a few that look good.
Do you all that have been to that area have any suggestions?
Even just land marks we need to stop and see along the way suggestions would be cool.

Thanks

Tate

Most of the wheeling I have done was further South and towards the Arkansas river valley.

When are you taking the trip? I'll be there after by the beginning of August.

Ripped leafspring hanger off trailer about 12 hours from home. Got a hotel 40 miles later. Headed back in the morning to meet someone with a welder. The one damn trip I take without it.

How in the world did that happen?
Drive the shelf rd up to cripple creek. It's just a dirt road but super cool. Don't take your eyes of the road for even a second though. I'm serious.

Bushings are shot in the leafsprings. Side load on hanger.

My trailer broke a center pin on the way home from CO. Didn't bend the hangar, but shifted the axle around just enough to rub the tires and blow them out.

Going how fast? Could have gotten dicey.
