I have an 8.8 for sale out of a 99 explorer, disc brake, rotors, but no calipers. 3.27 gears, open carrier. Free delivery to college station, or you can pick up in Plano, if that is closer. $150 or best offer. 50 bucks is not enough:flipoff2:

I am going to lincoln lock the mazda axle until I can afford a rear toy axle. No gears or lackers for mazda axles.

No money for Toyota axles

Jimmy, how much did you get for the 8.8? If it is possible to make them 6 lug i might look for one.

Why not just get a toy rear? The 8.8 is about 4" wider than your toy front.

Toy rears cost more and aren't as strong. And they dont have disk brakes. I'll measure the WMS. I can get .75" per side spacers. I think I might have my buddy machine them rather than pay all pro $130+

you say toy rears aren't as strong yet you decided to use a toy front with stock birfields:rolleyes:

just swap some d44s under it and you won't have to worry about all that jap crap breaking

still drunk...

Here we go again....

Dana 44s - 5 lugs
Toyota and Mazda - 6 Lugs

Super Birfields - Lifetime warranty? Has anyone broken one?
I'll get them at the same time I get a locker.

Toyota - I have 2
Dana 44s - More trouble with steering and crap, besides, I helped my buddy Landon out by selling him mine.

Dana 44s, higher than 4.10 gears stock.

Mazda = 4 banger

Mazda/Toyota - 4.10 stock

Need I say more?

I got 275 for mine, but you can get them in Houston for 150. You can get them in Dallas if you are lucky for less. You might be able to redrill the flanges for 6 lug.

would you want to use a Waggy rear? they're 6 lug, but wider than toys apparently are, so that may be out of the question

Mazda has a Mazda axle I guess. It is almost identical to a Toyota. I need to pull the shafts and count the splines. It has a 3rd member with the samek 10 bolt pattern as a Toyota. No one offers gears or lockers for it.

I am going to weld or have it welded if I think it can handle it. That comes as soon as I do the swap...
