Toyota Spring Hanger Question for Toyota Guys

Did you guys buy .25" thick strips to make your spring hanger or what? The springs are about 2.75" wide, so should I make the part that has the holes for the bolt out of .25" strip or buy some 3" square/rectangle/channel and just have .125" play on each side?

Use 2x2 square tubing for the piece that connects the two sides?

I figured it out anyway. I'm going to buy the metal tomorrow and then stay after work to sand blast some stuff. I can't wait to get the seal kit so I can put the axle back together and be done with that. Then I just have to order bushings and a tie rod and drag link. Fixing to go pick up calipers tonight.
