Use your imagination...
ok this is crazy/****ty looking, but see how they brought the back forward to make a truck cab looking thing. I thought about doing this, but without any top, just a main hoop above the back of the cab area. Then I thought maybe a 37"-38" (spare tire width) wide flat-bed type area between the rear tires. my quarters are trashed/rusted, and anything bigger than 35's is going to need new wheel tubs anyway, and it's not like I want to drive the scout to the "office" if I ever get a real job, it will be a trail rig after May. would definitely help achieve that lighter weight thing I was going after. BTW-check out the steering on this bad boy...

I don't know how much i like the cab look/idea. Maybe I just can't visualize it right. I would eliminate the tailgate, bumper, and all of that, just make the top of the fender go all the way back, maybe somehow incorporate some of those aluminum wheel tubs that drag type cars use. I dunno really. I think i like the idea of keeping the area between the storage area and the cab open. An old friend did this to his blazer, thought it was pretty trick, been meaning to post it anyways. Nashu's Blazer (http://www.rocktek.ws/k5/pages/The%20Rear%21%21.htm)
He will be helping me with another guy on my solid axle this summer hopefully.
Also - that one scout I posted I obviously really like his idea for hacking the back.
