I don't have one but was planning on buying a bike helmet from wal-mart tonight. That should be OK for the spotters I think. Bring your's also - you have an extra I guess?
David Morrisan drives Todd Huffmaster's(sp) old four-runner. I have wheeled with both of them in Clayton

Its not that bad wearing a helmet, and its a good thing since the way spotters run around it easy for them to fall and hit their heads.

I don't think Doug minded wearing his in Bartsow, but I don't know...

I WOULD have minded it if I had spotted more than one obstacle... it gets forkin' hot.

I think it should be mandatory that Tate wears a helmet all the time on trips!!!!

someone from lhor posted the results from the end of day 1 on their board. Jason Larman's in first place in his division. and the guy Scott is spotting for is in second in that same division. in the upper class modified Hal isn't doing so well, but he did roll, so that prolly has a little something to do with it. Lee Novicoff is also in that division and not faring too well after the first day.

not such a bad idea is it tate? It would have saved your head from being drawn on this weekend.

Also, we need to put a camera in it "Tate Cam" god knows what we would see. Probably about 5 hours of grass and dirt and some yelling in the back ground "YEEEEE-HAW"

I hear Jason Larman won the modified class. He was driving his dad's jeep i guess, because i think his is still in the works, he's putting in a mustang 5.0 and 38's. Anyway, congrats to Jason :D

we need to get some TAMOR stickers on him if he is going to go out and win competitions and ****...tell him to let me know if he needs any, that goes for anyone competing:) We should have round stickers soon, I know I have been saying that for awhile though...

Krawler68
04-07-2003, 07:24 AM
He had a big 3" sticker on his hood... he beat that TJ pretty well.

Hal on the other hand needs a TAMOR sticker...

After Jason blew everyone away the first day (we were in second) we put a sticker on his hood. We also put a sticker on the front sign for everyone.

BTW: Hal does NOT need a sticker on his truck - unless he wins of course

redcagepatrol

Jason finished this course with 3 seconds left on the clock

if Hal wants a sticker I say we give him one - who cares if he didn't win this weekend, he apparently drives like a madman and will win soon enough

redcagepatrol

we actually brought one for his truck but there is not too much room for it. He might have to clean his windshield and put it below the Longhorn one

Hal, we would love to have a sticker on your truck:D

I'd run one, but there isn't room for it except maybe on the roof, but if this weekend is any example of how I'll fare in my future comps then perhaps the roof is just fine...

.30 spline stub shaft....
I was amazed when i heard he was still running 30 spline outers. He kind of got a bum deal, but I think it was something he had expected...old shaft.

Apparently it and a bent pushrod on his brakes kept him from making the rest of the event... he will be back for the next event in September.

So will I...we'll see what happens when we go nose to nose. Redneck junk vs. High tech...

Doug

redcagepatrol

it was actually the 35 spline inner shaft that broke.

BTW Brett - it looks alot different when he has the body panels on.

bburris
04-11-2003, 11:51 AM
I thought it was built with body panels. It looked familiar, and the guy behind the wheel looked like him, but I couldn't tell for sure.

I'd like to see it in person. I'll have a better job soon that allows weekends off, so I'll be able to make it to comps to at least be a spectator.

AND a U-joint, AND a stub shaft... he broke it all...should I have been more specific?

when I looked and talked to him the u-joint / outer was still there - it all looked good except for the oil running out. I asked him about it and he said that he just broke the inner.

Krawler68
04-11-2003, 11:58 AM
He told me he ripped the ears off the outers too...maybe it was miscomunication.

I offered him my stub shaft, and he said he needed the inner. I thought Doug was in the ZJ with me when this whole conversation happened

Cajun

Was it a "big" 35 spline inner? If so, how do you frag an inner but not the 30 spline stub?

Krawler68
04-11-2003, 02:49 PM
OK disregard my lack of paying attention and take this for what it's worth, but according to lee...the axle was trail spare from Tim Haight (Bronco Alley) who had built the axle for Lee, and it was the only shaft he had that would fit... apparently its splines may have been twisted and the u-joint caps were spinning so Lee welded the caps in...

He was unable to get replacement shafts in time for the comp.
