what material header gasket should we use to help seal the best?

the best seal would come from a copper gasket. However, these can become very expensive. If you want a good seal with a cardboard gasket you can soak it in some water and bolt the headers on while it is still wet.
if the headers will seal or not will depend on what kind of headers you get. Are they going on your truck or the jeep?

i think the best type of header sealant would be some 6011
don't put them on the Jeep, you'll hate it.

I used the copper gasket from HoReilly's and have only had to tighten my header bolts once about a week after I put 'em on...they ran about $80.

No, since i put them on I've only actually tightened them once and it was a week after I put them on. I've checked them since then and they havent been loose.
