This is what was allready done. Round 2 has allready started and I will write about that later. Did not think a thread about round 2 would be right without one about round 1.

Well, the past owner's son's friend ran it off a 10' cliff and broke the motor mounts and radiator. He replaced what needed to be and I bought it and beat the hell out of it for a while. It hardly had floor boards or much of bed sides. Then one day the engine died (then I went fishing and me and the restored cj5 fell in the uranium pit). So round 1 started (after the cj5 recovered). I rebuilt the 258 and added headers and a weber as the rochester couldn't take a 10 degree angle. While the engine was out of the way I gave it a spring over. I found the shinny wheels at a junk yard and bought the cheapest 33" mudders I could find. I ran it that way a few weeks and it was hellafun with crappy body. But I wanted it to be presentable so I didn't have to hide it behind the shop. So I brought out the plasma cutter and chopped off the bed and built a new one out of 16 guage steel. Also replaced the floor boards. Then I built bumpers and it stayed mostly like that. Only thing I changed later was that I welded the rear differential.

Can't find any pics. I know I took a few, maybe some day they'll show up. I do have a pic of its first wheeling but cant get the scanner to work. Bed is nothing special. It looks stock but has pipe bed rails.

I only have 1 jeep. The cj5 was my older brother's. He now has a yj. And my little brother has a cj7.

Plans will be in thread about round 2.

I figured everybody knew I had an 8. The 5 was my brother's and that was thrown in there just because the day I killed my jeep's motor, I also sunk his. It was not a good day.

The jeep thing has to do with wheelbase. So a FJ40 is a jeep, while I have something better.

ooohhh, I get it. Since you think that a jeep is a FJ-40, you think you have something better...to each his own:flipoff2:

-you totally lost me...must be the fresh paint in my room:D

I wonder what they call FJs in Japan?
How about CJs and MJs?

Yes and it's now better than your border patrol bronco. :flipoff2: What's happenin with that thing? Weren't we supposed to get together with some keystone and sawzall and fix it up a little?

you've got a BP bronco? Guy down the street has one with some 35s and ugly rims....still has the green stripe. I would think those things are pretty ragged out. How much did you get it for?

That is the most lucid, cohesive thought you have ever had Steve, I couldn't agree more...
