Okay, I know you can find 6 lug semifloat 14 bolts in some heavy half ton chevys, but is there a 5 lug version of this axle?

not sure, are you looking for a similar width semifloating 5 lug, or trying to identify an axle?

Nope. Even in 2wds it had 6 lugs. They are also in light duty 3/4 tons, actually thats the only place I've seen them.

60 semifloats have c-clips, are the 14 bolts the same?

Yup. They are extraordinarily rare. They were found under 454 SS trucks. I'm sure that at the very least you can aquire an 8 lug axle and buy 5 lug shafts.

we have a semi-float, custom ordered rear end under our Z71, its a half ton six lug.

For the most part i just wondered if they existed. My friend had one in the back of his 4x4 chevy 1500, but of course it was a six lug, and this axle would be going into a 2wd.

we got one from gordon's last year, don't know what it came out of, but it was 6 lug, 3.42 gears, c-clip, but it had some big damn axle shafts, put it under the blazer

I think they use 1.4" shafts.
