Daily driver, trail rig or whatever your working on. He's my CJ-5 in the works. I have rebuilt the engine and I plan on doing full hydro steering, I have a d60 rr front for it and I'm going to get a 14 bolt for the rear. I am looking for a eb dana 20 so I don't have to make the front axle passenger side. I have an np435 to put in it too, hopefully I can do all of this over the summer.
Here's my DD on Timberline. It has a 3" Rusty's lift in the front and custom 3" in the back to help fit 31 BFG AT's.

95 yj dana44 front waggy model 20 rear. 4.56 gears with rear detroit and soon front lockright. SYE, soa, need a traction bar before i ruin another set of springs. newly broken snorkel thanks to low hanging oak tree.

Rex, I'd rethink that EB 20. Its nothing like a CJ/Scout Dana 20 and unless you have tons of wheelbase (compared to a stock cj5) it won't work.
Here it is in the natural habitat

since Fredo decided to post an updated pic of my ride, I thought you guys might like to see his current ride, it is his pride and joy, he protects it as if it were a baby. this guy from the water ski club hit and ran on it the other day and Fred was inconsolable. I don't know what he would do if anything ever happened to it. It is a scout only a Fredo could love though...
It got painted black before we brought it down here in a 20mph wind at about 35 degree weather, perfect for outdoor painting right? It is fun to have a vehicle you don't give a rat's *** about, dukes of hazzard slides across the hood, hit and runs are no big deal, trail damage? HAH! Here it is the day we got it in all of its full flexual glory before the lift springs.

my name is bob, ive been here at A&M for two years now and i just got the jeep before last summer. i worked all summer so i couldn't do any upgrading. as it stands my jeep is stock, except for the bedliner i put in myself, the freight train horn, and some KC lights on a lightbar i welded up myself after i crushed that dinky stock bumper on the trail. last year i went out with a buddy who has a yj with a broken 4wd. it proved to be interesting, since we were both new to wheeling. a home depot come along has saved us more than anything else, so my first addition will be a winch and then a lot of underside protection.
heres the first wheeling trip story.
Started off just getting muddy and seeing what our vehicles were capable of. Mike's yj has a broken 4wd and bald ass tires. it was a great combination. i pulled him out many times.
considering that my jeep has 30in bfg a/t's that are practically bald too, i was very surprised with what that thing could accomplish. this next picture is a lake along one of the trails we found. it went up to my headlights. i was very surprised that i got out of there, but i never got hung up and neither did mike.
http://www.bttx.com/offrd/sm2.jpg
however, like any good thing there has to be a ****ty end. around 8pm we decided to get off the trail and head back. mainly because we had finals the next day. :gigem:
http://www.bttx.com/offrd/sm3.jpg
thats when we both got stuck. Really stuck. i high centered cause i tried to turn out of some really deep ruts. bad idea. then mikes engine died. we stayed till 11pm trying to get out, calling people we knew. no one could make it down the trail. 2 ford 250's and 1 z71, none succeeded. so we came back the next day after our finals with a come along and got me out so i could tow mike the rest of the way out. thank god my roomate has 68 mustang and does a lot of carb work, or else mikes jeep would have stayed there a long ass time.
http://www.bttx.com/offrd/sm6.jpg
http://www.bttx.com/offrd/sm4.jpg
getting up to 30mph i towed mike out while he attempted to drive in reverse. that was a hell of a thing.
http://www.bttx.com/offrd/sm5.jpg
good ****, thank god for cigarettes and dip!
