Right now I have a set of allpro rear springs on my truck. They've never really flexed as well as I would've liked, and now that my truck will be bedless and lighter, I think I may need to rework them. I've seen some people on POR inboard thier rear springs, and I think I may try that. I'm also ditching the buggy leaf I built and replacing the upper shackle mount with a Johnny Joint.

One problem I can see is if the truck does flex well the tires may rub the frame, so I'm thinking about just chopping the frame off in the back and replacing it with tubing. That will narrow the rear of my truck up substantially. Inboarding the springs will also move the front hangers up so that they no longer act as anchors hanging below the frame.

Any one see any other problem with this, other than added body roll (and being a fair amount of work)? Any ideas? Also, how much do you think I should inboard them. My front spring perches are at 29in, and the rear are at 39in. I'm thinking 4in per side.
