Ok Kiddos

Trailfest is comin up and its time to register. Friday is the due date for applications without a late fee. Anything is welcome from stockers to crawlers. I really encourage anyone who wants to become involved in the club to come out on this trip. If you dont want to bring your rig at least come out as a ride along.

Heres the link for the Application (http://www.fwd-fwd.org/)

Here are some pics of some of the extreme stuff

Are they pretty serious about that "no uninsured vehicles" thing? I'd like to take the FJ but don't have insurance on a trail rig.

The insurance is required if you plan on driving to the trails (I think). You can tow out to the trails and they should be OK with it. Lynda and I will be there - I have dibs on Gregs gooseneck!

PS nutz - my Patrol is insured and is down as my primary vehicle - in Bryan too...

I have some pics from that trip too - and some pics from last years Oktober trailfest, and the Memorial day trailride in my 2002 trip section.

Nick - is that the picture from when you left your camera in my truck? We got bored sitting in standstill traffic on 45 south of Dallas and started playing with his camera...

you insure a trail only rig because what happens when your **** rolls down the hill and takes something (ie. truck) or in a worst case someone out, you want to drop $55K on someones avalanche rig when you total it? i don't think you do

off road accidents arent covered by any insurance if they know thats what happened. insurance is for driving on the street. if that happens to someone and their **** gets messed up b.c. of someone else they are SOL unless the culprit is willing to pay.

not true if you have full coverage. If a tree falls on you, you are covered. If your car gets stolen and driven into a lake, you are covered - FULL coverage means anything can happen anywhere.

Do you have to register only if you are bringing some kind of four wheel drive or does everbody, including people that are just riding along.

Lynda
09-16-2003, 06:59 PM
Yes you have to have it insured becuase I remember showing them my insurance everytime I check in. It keeps FWD-FWD out of trouble for driving back and fouth to trails with the local lawman.

Also Rosy is coming as my passenger.

If you are just riding with someone or plan on walking the trails you don't have to register. But if you plan on running the trails at all you need to register.

Yes you can go, it just cost a little extra. You can arrive there and sign up for all that matters - they don't have a limit on trucks.

BE WARNED: the trails up there are not fullsize friendly. Expect some body damage - you might be a good driver and might miss all the trees, but just expect some damage...
