Jeep redlines after changing exhaust manifold

What would cause a 4.0 to redline upon starting after the exhaust manifold was changed? The intake had to be removed for access...

vacuum leak, throttle cable sticking

I thought it was the trottle but I'm not there and they said it was almost all the way closed and it was back firing.

massive vaccuum leak would be my guess. Not too uncommon after removal of the intake.

Idle air control motor got something wrong with it maybe.
