Code reader for TBI's. The guy said it will tell you water temp, voltage on sensors, etc... I had a laptop hooked up for spring break, but this would be alot more convienent and it was cheap!!http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2433093284

That's pretty cool man. I might have to look at getting one of those for my scout. Would be a lot easier than lugging a laptop around on the trail.

Don't be angry because you spent an entire summer doing fuel injection and your motor isn't happy because you trusted ron to torque the heads down:flipoff2:

Freddy, you can borrow it anytime...

:Ron voice on: I would have assumed you would have already done that :ron voice off:

also this has nothing to do with how crappy my motor is.

will that work on the 4.3 too

on a side note. who the hell puts heads on with out a torque wrench. I am pretty sure the heads are messed up. I have no idea how old and gay they are. It smokes alot on start up so pretty sure the heads are messed up. the lower end of the motor is brand new. For some gay reason i put crappy heads on it. so this is the life story of my engine.

:ron voice on: we can put fuel injection on your truck in a week :ron voice off:

Is the board not refreshing for you??? Nothing on the beginning page is different.

Yeah the scanner should work on the 4.3 and the 5.7. Anything that is TBI.

I figured for 40 bucks shipped it would be cool to have and be handy diagnosing things on the trail or anywhere...

Right off the top of my head, Doug Bedwetter comes to mind. Other than that, can't really think of anybody else that stupid. :D

j brown has obd2 i am not sure if the paper clip method works on obd2. we used to have a s-10 pick up with obd1 and i used the paper clip method all the time on it.

Those dumbasses at autozone cant even work a damn cash register much less a code reader, plus depending upon what code reader they have it may not tell them what you need just what chevy gibberish it spits out.

Anyway I have a code reader that will read OBDII chevrolets dont really know exact years but it works on my 98. If anyone needs there **** checked just come over and use it.

It uses a computer instead of all being handheld, but it works just fine. No charge, thats the reason i bought it.

It also has some **** for LS1 where i think that you can **** with setting and stuff...i dont have an LS1 though so if anyone wants to come over and play with it feel free
