$380!!!???
I sold one of those trannys for $150 and Nutz got a tcase for $100! Package deal should go $200. Cash. Whaddayasay?

My shifter is on the t-case. Which is better?

Violentv8toy

sheet. I've gotten so many people wanting to buy it for 380 on pirate but they dont wanna pay shipping and i dont want to ship it. I've got a local in my hometown wanting it for 400.

Its a pimp smooth tranny too with a CII clutch with under 3k miles on it comes with IFS driveshaft. No leaks. Xmember. Master/Slave. Hell i'll even throw in a driveshaft.

325 new price.:flipoff2:

I guess you wouldn't think i could have sold my 100k mi 22re for 650 either.

so basically its already sold for $75 more than what you're asking us for it? why dont you just sell it in your hometown then? personally, i think people selling stuff that say they can get more than they're asking are full of ****. i think its obvious you're a little too picky for the ranks of TAMORites.

Violentv8toy
10-09-2003, 05:30 PM
No. But his transmission hasn't gone completely south yet. Doesn't mean he doesnt want it. I dont want to sell it for 200 dollars (which it is not worth) when i can wait for his to kill over and get twice that much. Noone has to buy the tranny....geeze.

I even offered to throw in some other stuff. I'm not trying to be a junkyard and rape people.

EDIT: Besides, if noone was offering me 400 for it, i'd take what i can get for it.

Seth
10-09-2003, 08:30 PM
so that was really just you saying that in fact you can not get 400 for it corect?? at least not right now......reminds me of a geat quote i once heard - ive said it before and I am sure I will say it again.....

"Mr. Violentv8toy, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. "

Well ok.
Nevermind the facts:

tranny - 150
t-case - 100
front driveshaft with cv - 45
rear driveshaft - 45
new master/clutch slave - 5
3k mi on a CII clutch (250 new) - 75

= 420

Not like 325 is totally inflated.

This is starting to get funny

Tamor, the home of the picky and the cheap.

As for your ****, like everyone said, its kinda overpriced for this bunch. We like our stuff cheap. I've bought entire trucks for just a little more than what your asking. I'm not saying you stuff isn't worth it, its just not to this bunch. My suggestion, put it up on PBB for a price that includes shipping that you would be happy with, and wait for it to sell. If it don't, wait till your friend's stuff goes south, or you find something you want to trade for. I've probally traded 5 times more stuff than I've sold.

Violentv8toy
10-09-2003, 08:58 PM
Thats cool. I understand that. I got my engine for 350. I got my tranny/case for 200. I got my swampers for 300 all from pirate. I sold my engine for 650 on pirate. I've tried to sell this on pirate but i dont want to ship it...but that doesnt mean i dont know what its worth. Just because i'm new to TAMOR doesnt make me a complete dumbass. I'm not the one with the sour attitute.

and i bought my whole truck for 500. I'm the cheapest of cheap.

Actually. Buy me 4 16x10" 6 lug black wheels with 2.5" of BS and i'll call it a straight deal.

CRaSHnBuRN
10-09-2003, 09:00 PM
Okay, just saw your last post, so I deleted my last one. The rear driveshaft isn't really worth anything, but I know who wants the CV one. Contact Matt Marek. Busa or Cody should have his number. I know he was wanting one, but I don't know what he is willing to pay

Hey i would like the rusty ass clutch please. I think it might fit my ford truck. I will take it off your hands for free. I might be able to use it as a trotline weight.

you are :rainbow:

Violentv8toy
10-09-2003, 09:13 PM
Its not rusty, thats the color of the clutch, all star. Its actually useful to those with a 22re.

EDIT: Its probably too light for a line weight anyway.

EDIT 2: All BS aside. Buy me 4- black 6 lug chevy/toy 16x10" 2.5" BS wheels and its all yours.

They run about 275 from Bent & Twisted. I'm sure they're cheaper from 4wheelprts.

yeah, i dont know what kinda canadian calculator you do your math on but from their website i get $340 for 4 PLUS shipping from California. Maybe you missed it but custom backspacing costs extra. i'm not sayin' thats not a good price but i got 4 brand new 15x10 black 8-lug wheels w/ 3" BS for $200. KUSTOM!...and it looks like the only ones 4WP offers are 4" BS for $76/wheel. Buena suerte selling your **** here. put it on ebay and leave us alone, save yourself some heartache, and the rest of us a headache.

Violentv8toy
10-10-2003, 06:33 AM
No i talked to mike 2 days ago. They're 68 dollars apiece plus 10 for shipping.

272 + 8 = 280

OK 280.

4wp sells custom backspacing too. You just have to ask. BTW, i'm not forcing anyone to buy my ****.

Ok granted you might be able to sell a used clutch but why on earth would anyone put in a used clutch? That is one of those things you just dont do.

Violentv8toy
10-10-2003, 12:29 PM
Machine the flywheel and slap her on in. It wont slip. I've put many used clutches in vehicles and they work fine. Of course its better to use a new clutch...

Its not a perfect match, and all clutches arent perfect and all machined flywheels dont match brand new clutches until worn in.

Either way, a used CII is better than a napa clutch.

Not better than a LUK gold set, since LUK is stamped on centerforce!!

Yeah they are supposed to wear together. So that they do match each other. just so you know i pull 10000 lbs with my truck will a ho reilly's clutch. So dont try and pull this napa clutch crap.

Yeah and just so you know i've burnt out a napa clutch with a 144 cubic inch squirrel in a mudhole. Drove home at 25. Yet get what you pay for.

But lets not get in a pissing match whos truck is faster and has louder exhaust and tows more or whos got cheaper parts in their truck. Big deal. That CII isnt gonna crap out.

Pick up a napa clutch and then pick up a centerforce. Guess which one is better quality.

jerryg79
10-10-2003, 02:01 PM
I'll give you $15 dollars for that oil if you pull it for me, only $12 if i gotta pull it myself. By the way whats this out of, if its a chevy, you still got the filter too.

Let me know if you find anyone with some used brake pads but only raybestos, the rest from napa are crap:flipoff2:

Did you miss my post??? I guess it depends which clutch set you get, but I've seen LUK stamped on centerforce clutches, which napa sells...

I'll try to find proof.

10th post down10th post down, I'll keep looking cause this kinda sucks (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126187&highlight=LUK+centerforce)

7th post down (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18612&highlight=LUK+centerforce)

Seems like most people that have centerforce hate them offroad. It's either on or off...

Violentv8toy
10-10-2003, 02:08 PM
The LUK clutch is a good clutch or so i hear (never run one). Get the 'badass' lifetime warantee clutch napa 70 dollar clutch set and you'll see what i mean.

EDIT: I remember reading it. I was a part of that thread actually. Slip a napa enough and shell eat it. And since the weights on the pressure plate increase pressure on the disc (hence centrifugal force name) its obvious that its an on/off style of clutch....why people are surprised i dont know. I'd pit my used clutch against a napa clutch anyday....or an ho-reilys. But what do i know....dragsters used napa lifetime warantee clutches last time i checked.

allright, easy enough, now seeing as you live in moses hall, go down to room 302 and ask for tony, you may know him as the dorm old man, or that sixth year still living in the dorm.

Go ask him to get you a case of miller high life, sit back, have a few, watch some porn, and be happy!

and if you live on 3rd floor seriously goto rm 302 (my old room) and talk to tony (my old room mate). He has lived in that damn dorm for 6 years now and in the same corner room for 4. I think he is common-law married to the room. I think he actually owns the damn room by some squatter's clause.

i burned up a Centerforce clutch in my truck and will never put one back in. the extra holding power actually made the problem worse when the clutch went out b.c. it held metal to metal on the disc and pressure plate....and because it still drove it took me a while to figure out what the hell the problem was. when i finally got the clutch out i ended up having to replace the flywheel too....not cheap. since then i've burned up 2 LUK clutches. one wasnt really "burned up" per say...but it had a stick stuck in the pressure plate and bent the forks. the other i just replaced b.c. it was lifetime warranty and i was putting a 300lb transmission in that i really didnt want to take out if the clutch went out in a month.

the "stick" incident

dan reed towed me home and i replaced the clutch the next day.

Is that back when you ran 3.54s and 37s?

323 is mine.

BigRedFord04
10-10-2003, 02:43 PM
no, that was with a brand new gearset of 4.88s F/R and brand new 37"s. it wasnt the clutch's fault nor due to any kind of extra strain on the drivetrain. as i said, i found a STICK in the pressure plate, about as big around as my pinky.

i am currently running 3.54s in the rear and 4.88s in the front b.c. i dont have the money to regear the new rearend and w/ the ZF transmission and 5.72:1 1st gear i can drive just fine.

Fredo
10-10-2003, 04:21 PM
You know, I don't know about the Centerforce I and II's but the Dual friction is not a LUK clutch. I've heard many people bash Centerforce in the offroading world and in the Hot Rod world, but you know what, other than a slight bit of clutch chatter, mine has been a mean bitch from day one. Not only has it put up with almost three years of gear banging from a 6spd, it's put up with about 415ftlbs at the flywheel waiting to punish it for engaging. Not only that, but for the past few months, I've been driving it with 2.73 gears in the ass due to my 4.10 geared 10bolt giving way(imagine that). Talk about having to ride the clutch to get moving. It still grips in every gear at full throttle without an issue.

So while I can't vouch for the strength of a CI or II, I know that Centerforce aren't bad clutches. So take what other people say about them with a grain of salt until you've given them a chance.

i am pretty sure that scott was running a centerforce clutch in his original toyota(may be using one now)....i had to move it one time bak when we all lived on dexter...and it was definatly on or off...when i asked him about it he said thats what he liked cause it was more predictable...maybe someone can talk to him...

EDIT: i just realized as i was finishing this post, i dont really know why we are arguing over which clutch is good/bad....is someone even wanting to buy a new clutch or what?

Violentv8toy
10-11-2003, 05:19 PM
Yeah. New guy selling these.

I've got a line on some cheap wheels on pirate, and if i get them i'll sell the tranny/t-case/shaft and all that other stuff for 250 cash. I can't go lower cause i'm poor enough as it is and i'm a hella lot poorer than yall think.

Does anyone know a place that can alter steel wheels. I need to change some 3.5 bs wheels to 2ers.

Where did you say that you got your wheels made austin?

CRaSHnBuRN
10-11-2003, 06:28 PM
2 inch backspacing? Do you really need that much?

Try some spacers

Violentv8toy
10-11-2003, 06:38 PM
For 8s, yeah i think so. ALot of people have problems with big tires rubbing springs on my size 44.

I figure 38s would rub.

I can wheel it with 3.5" until i can afford diff ones.

CRaSHnBuRN
10-11-2003, 07:29 PM
What size 38s we talking about? Yeah, outboarding those springs for you d44 could cause problems. Is it a waggy 44? one thing to think about is negative returns. Alot of offset and 38's is gonna be hard on the balljoints as well as making steering harder.

Violentv8toy
10-12-2003, 03:51 PM
*whistle* 100 bux a wheel.

38x13x16s

Waggy 44 yeah. D44 Balljoints suck eitherway. They cant be as bad as toyota IFS wheelbearings. I welcome the day when all i need to do is change balljoints. After you swap drivetrain and axles and about everything in between its not all that bad.

CRaSHnBuRN
10-12-2003, 03:59 PM
With those tires, backspacing really doesn't matter that much, 3.5-2.5 should be more than adequate. I figured you were trying to run the fat ass 38.5s. They're not going to be wide enough to get into your springs. Remember, those tires are just a little bigger than a 36x12.5 tsl.

Violentv8toy
10-12-2003, 04:02 PM
I dunno. I know a couple of people who say their 37" mt/rs rub on their waggy with 3.5" bs. Of course i think the 37s are fatter than the tires i've got...so i dont know.

CRaSHnBuRN
10-12-2003, 04:13 PM
oh, here is some info you may want

15x8, 2in backspacing, 6 lug, black, #515883R2 at 4wheelparts, should be 40 bucks or so

Violentv8toy
10-12-2003, 04:31 PM
39.99 But they're 2.5, they just sell em as 2s.

But i've got 16s.

CRaSHnBuRN
10-12-2003, 04:41 PM
thats right, you have those screwy 16's. Well I tried. Call up scott at rockstomper, he's pretty good at getting stuff like that
