my friend has an '03 Taco and he was wanting to know which lift is the best. He just wants to make it look cool, he doesn't rock crawl so the SAS is out. Flame if you like, but I am really looking for a good suggestion here...

We installed a Fabtech lift on a guy's Taco in Corpus a while back. He loves it, and it can still go offroad if your friend ever gets the urge to go drive around at Gilmer or something.

How much money is he looking to spend? Here are his choices:

1) Pro Comp makes a 4" kit that will fit 33's for bout $1400
2) Trailmaster makes a 6" kit for bout $1500
3) FabTech makes a 6" kit for bout $1800
4) Revtek makes front 3" coil-spacers and rear add-a-leafs for bout $350.
5) If he cares about performance, he can get adjustable racing shocks, like fabtechs, donahoes, sway-a-ways, or kings that range from bout $7-800.

For mine (2000 model), I am swapping chevy springs in the rear (~3 inches), which will cost about $150-200, and put Old Man Emu coils in the front (~2.5"-3") for bout 135 bucks.
