May 28 - 31

Clayton includes some of the best trails that I have ever wheeled and its always a fun experience and I encourage everyone in the club to go. They have trails that can easily be run by a stock jeep and some trails that cant be tackled without tires over 35 unless you are Busa.

Event Highlights:
Newly developed trails
Guided trails for all levels
“Let’s Make a Deal” Raffle
Dinner on Saturday night
Commemorative Dash Plaques
Event T-shirts available for purchase
A great time with great friends

Ho-ly crap - I might actually try and make this run. Even if I have to retard my timing to get the 4runner to run cool enough. Of course this means I have to find some tires on the cheap and actually test the 4runner on some trails between now and then, so this is definitely a maybe. Damn, I'd love to go back to Clayton though - it has been a while!

Seriously though, who else is going? Scott, you can move any time. Linda's a big girl - she can handle it. You mowed her family's lawn this weekend and that should make up for it...:D

Why don't you go Lynda and make him move. Actually Andy reminded me about TPP in Katemcy is this same weekend so I have to choose between the two. What do ya'll think?

For you, I would suggest TPP - less chance of holding up a large group of people who don't know you:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

So, back to the original Question. Who all is going to Clayton and who is going to Katemcy & why?

I'm gonna wait until like that week to decide if I have the time, but if I go on one of them, it'll be Katemcy, mainly since it's closer and my thirst was not quenched on the first trip :D

I would like to make it, but I might have to help my brother move from South Carolina. If not, then it sounds like a good time. I might try my hand at Old Yanish or something.

I am leaning toward Katemcy, it sounds like that is where most of the TAMOR folks are going. I am definitely going to make Trailfest in October though.

Okay. My brother and I are leaving Friday morning, and will be meeting a few FWD folks at the fairgrounds around noon. Who else is going, and does anybody in the DFW area need a ride? Call the cell: 2143847872

How much is the Clayton Registration? Are there spaces still open?

It's $85 since we're past the deadline. I was talking to a friend of mine, and there are a number of new trails open on the north end of town.

Matt, are you still going?

It was a damn big run. The new property was open, and it's got some nasty tight trails. There were a lot of good attempts at Frieling's place - TSOB, Puckers Sluice. It was fun to watch. It was my brother's first time out wheeling, and he got a pretty good dose of the fun stuff.

We didn't run much in the burban. We were on a trail on the new property, and a small tree stump stabbed a sidewall and killed a tire. Since we had to drive home on the spare, and we couldn't locate another tire shop with 35s, we hiked/watched the rest of the weekend.

The usual suspects were there: Mike Green (a sadist on the trail), and the yellow AGR jeep, etc.

We didn't take any pictures, and I haven't found any yet. All in all, and good run. The new property add a lot to the mix, and helps make up for not having the three stage area.
