So, I am needing to get my truck inspected this month. What are the requirements to pass? I cut three feet off of my exhaust, but it was after the muffler. Will they give me any heat for the brakeline or LSPV that are just dangling down? What other requirements are there?

Your only requirement is to go down to Dixie Tire on Wm J Bryan street in Downtown Bryan (aka "Little Mexico Tire") and give them $12. Exhaust only has to reach past the cab.
PS I just cut off my muffler (3" flowmaster behind 2 1/4 everything else) and I swear it's not any louder than it was.

No I didn't cut up my new exhaust...I cut it off the ugly truck (yota). I think the tree-fiddy would sound a little different without a muffler :D
Not really planning anything for the old muffler, I might have a hook up for a 2 1/4 one instead of having him kludge the 3" back on. Want it? It looks okay, but sounds kinda rattly

I'll prolly just buy new then. It only costs bout 100 bucks (installed) for a new flowmaster with a tip. Think there is somewhere where I can get it done for cheaper?

I think you can get a dynomax dirt cheap ($30?) on ebay, then have rusty install it for $20 or so.
This makes disappointment #3 with Flowmasters, so I would go with dynomax, given a choice.

since your truck's pretty new, a borla might be a good idea...they're awesome quality and back it up with a million mile warranty

Borla would be pretty sweet. Can't really top its sound, but it is too much for me. I'll look into the Dynomax. Thanks.

I am too cheap for chrome ANYTHING, much less an exhaust tip that is under the bed of the truck, never to be seen by anyone.

there is a muffler place at 146 and like Spencer, or maybe its Fairmont. Is that the one? If so, that is the place that quoted me a 100 bucks installed.

Alright alright, Austin, I'll listen to you. I'll call up Rusty and see what he can do.
