i would look into a suzuki sv650, its a sweet little bike, its more of an all around bike, its a naked bike so its easy to move like a stunt bike but has a motor with lots of low end torque. you could probably get like a 1999-2002 for under $3000.

i know a guy who's selling a `94 Suzuki Bandit 400 ~$1000. looking at prices on 'em now its a pretty sweet deal, and probably a good investment.

his name's daniel, he works at the o'reillys on university. 979.220.6918

i found this website for info on the bike. http://www.banditalley.com

I always wanted a Kawaski KLR 650 like this one. I dont know about you, but I dont think I could control myself on a crotch rocket.

go to the yamaha/suzuki/kawasaki shop behind old tom's bbq off texas. they have a couple brand new ones for under $3000. they are just little cruisers, but they are freakin cheap for a new bike.

Check out http://www.buysportbikes.com/

I picked up my bike from them on the cheap. When I say cheap I mean $1,000 less than they go for on ebay.

KLR's are cool. great bike for the back roads. a little buzzy at highway speeds. ton's of low end torque. lots of aftermarket support. I give it two thumbs up! the army and marines use them.

Hey david, what all was involved in buying a bike from them? THey have a couple I like, but did you have to pay the $450 shipping? Did you view the bike in person before you bought it? If so, how did that work?

THey have info. on the website, but it was confusing to me.

They had my F4i there already. I just went and saw it. Had a friend in-the-know ride it. Then bought it.

hey , ya, i sure did.. its friggin pimp... when i come up to CS again i'll let ya cruise around on it.. the 50+ MPG is nice too, ***. i rode it all around town without a liscence, plates or any verification to show that i was legal to drive it, oops, oh well.

THE KLR is an AWESOME bike for commuting, and riding on trails... ive got street tires on it now.. but am planning to get a second set this fall. if all goes well, i'll be able to use this in TAMOR instead of my 2WD POS, ***
