What kind of coilovers are those?

EDIT: I looked at the past ROTM and saw that they're Bilsteins. How much for them, and what rate coils are on them right now?

I'll be second on the list for the coilovers... depending on the price and the spring rates.

Are you getting married or something? How much for the 60.

Please post some pricing. I still think you should try to eBay the whole thing. I think you would get more.

i already sold the axles, winch, steering valve and tbi setup. the bottom coils are 400 lbs. and the tops are 250 lbs. the bottom coils cost $85 a piece and the top coils $50 a piece. i will take $450 for all the coils and will give the buyer the droop springs. i paid $350 a piece for the coilovers and i will take $1100 for all four. i'm starting to build a yj up and since there are no comps around here and i can't afford to drive to them. the next project is just going to be a very capable trail rig instead of a buggy like i wanted. i want something that i can wheel on sat. and then drive to church on sunday.

so 1550 for the springs and the shock/coilover part?

I'm contemplating the air shox, and they are 225 a piece, but then you have to get the nitrogen kit as well.

I'll have to figure out what spring weight i will need tommorow and I'll get back with you. How much do you figure your sprung weight weighs?

Gotcha. I guess that makes it hard to sell it as a package then.

I emailed you about the coilovers...

Anyone know how to calculate what spring rate I would need??

I didn't expect to try to calculate sprung weight quite yet as i was going to orginally use the fox shox.

So I'm figuring:

4.3 dressed 600 pounds ??
2 sm465's 350
np205 140
tubing 200ft x 2.089 lbs per foot 418
everything else 1000????

I'm going to say the sprung weight is between 2500 and 3000 hopefully more around the lower number. Floor, firewall, and every kinda paneling that will not be scraping will aluminum.

I'm wondering if cody's coilover's would be to stiff. Anyone offer any help? Cody how did you figure out what springs you needed?

Bueller??? Bueller??? Bueller??? :flipoff2:

what kind of transmission does it have, and if it is a th400, how much do you want for it

The best way I can think of theoretically is to do a scaled drawing with placement of parts and calculate the center of gravity and then figure out the weight over each axle. The easy way to do it is to build the vehicle then take it to a scale and weigh the vehicle with one axle on the scale and the other off. Do the same for both axles. That will give you a ball park area of where to start from. Then I would think the rest could be compensated with different valving in the shocks.

What axles will you use on the YJ?

PS - When I was loading the Mazda on the trailer I pulled it up the hill and then let some slack in the chain. I went to disconnect the chain and I was looking towards the Ford and trailer when I heard a funny sound. The truck, which had been stationary was heading for your tub. It stopped on some pipes, but it was funny as ****.

i got me some of them heavy duty axles to put on that there jeep.

the tranny is a Th400 that was rebuilt, and i will sell it for $300.

doug the best thing to do is build your buggy and then figure your spring rate after you have everything on it. because everything else is probably going to be more than 1000 pounds. winch, radiator, water, gas, beer, your big a!! :flipoff2:
