I'm thinking of parting out the axles and supeison of the k5 and looking into another vehicle I have my eye on. I was gunna see how much interest I could get for the vehicle and also the parts. I figure no one here wants a stock k5 so here is what I'd be selling.

Completely Rebuilt D60 front 4.10 welded SRW (6 months since build) ~1400

14bolt FF 4.10 Detroit & Master Install kit (about 1 yr since build) ~450
I'd take 1700 for both.

front 6" EZride springs for chevy ~100
rear 57" f-150 leaves, nifty shackle reversal suspension (aka springer suspension) ~300
I also have brand new front 4" BDS springs ~150

***EDIT***
I forgot to mention... 35x12.50/16.5 BFG KM's with good tread, in good condition ~400
Also... 16.5/9.75 Chrome Modulars ~100

Thanks

If its the Samurai with the 22 some odd body lift, somone on Corpus MotorSPorts already posted it and I've also made a detailed MS Paint analysis on it :flipoff2:

Which Doug?

The front 6" springs are... a bit less than 2 yrs old I believe... they are in great condition, some rust and just need some paint if you wanted 'em to look good.

whats the lug pattern on the wheels?

TXsizeK5
06-22-2004, 12:19 PM
8lug --whatever fits chevy 14bolts and d60

Doug Krebs

or 8 on 6.5... they fit all dodge, chevy, and fords(except the newer fords, I think 97 and above) and I'm not sure about newer dodges

That's 99 and above on the fords. And a 16.5" wheel will not fit a new dodge, brakes too big.

I just bought a 1991 toyota pickup....its pretty much like mine except its stock (not messed up).

Its grey, bumpy body, strong engine/drivetrain, IFS, 90k mi.
price: your axles + 325 bux (i bought it for 2k)

Also have a cj5, 4.2L, toothpick axles, and its in NM.

I gave my other D60 to my dad to put under a 4runner, so i'm in the market for some decent axles for my v8 toy after I go propane. Iffn you give me the axles along with 600 dollars, i'll give you a welded toyota 8" and open d44 with 4.10s to go with your new 91 toyota.

tell me what you think...you can join the toyota crew of TAMOR.....come visit the darkside..you know u wanna.

I'd have to think about it. But are you still interested in buying the axles for cash? I had an offer but it was around what you offered, but he cant buy till august. so let me know.

Violentv8toy
06-23-2004, 10:44 PM
doubt it, i wouldn't be able to buy them until late august anyway (im in arkansas)

But if you decide that you want a toy....which is one of the greatest wheeling machines EvAr!....let me know and we can wheel and deal. (pun intended)

why are you not interested in a toy? just wondering....

I cant possibly understand why someone would want a samurai before a toy.

????

For the body maybe? Toy stuff is basically overbuilt sammy stuff. Most of it's even Aisin! Most of the really sweet sammys I've seen were mostly yota.

i talked to a hillbilly today in arkansas....hes got an 87 pickup with a 22re/5spd its off-white and its pretty nice....quite possibly the nicest 2nd gen i've ever seen.

It needs a headgasket and its ready to roll...used my great bargaining/people skills and talked him down to 750 from 1250. I'd buy it but my garage is getting full. Anyone wanna take advantage? its 9 hours from CS btw.

EDIT: for those who don't know, I work for the southwestern company (selling books) and im in arkansas this summer out in the boonies selling books to worried parents around Jonesboro (school shooting)...anyway, out here in the boonies its a whole nother world.....(ever seen Wrong Turn?) so if anyone is ever wondering where the old solid 4wd trucks (k5, 1/2chev, toy, cj, scouts,) went, they're down here and I see some good ones for SHEEP! Anyone looking for another project vehicle i'll keep my eyes open.

nicer than mine? :flipoff2:

I may be able to swing that toward the end of the summer and drag it to Mississippi. I could sell the efi stuff and get most of that back, then keep the block for my little engine project.

edit: actually, my family's looking for any running 4x4 pickup-type vehicle to keep at our property as a work truck. The simpler the better (carbed), so if you see something under $2k like that let me know. Please. :)

Violentv8toy

i've got a good one....theres an 84 toyota (carbed) that runs pretty good and is in decent farm truck shape for 500 down here....body is kinda beat but it runs and drives well.

EDIT: and some people think there are parts of texas that are poor....if you went to the country here in texas, it would be 10 times nicer than most of the homes in the cities here in arkansas. Honestly...its like a white trash mexico.

We've got some good WT jokes goin on....heres a few for now:

You might be WT if you can set a trotline 30 feet from your house.
You might be WT if your 'inside' dog has more mange than your 'outside' dog.
You might be WT if you have more carpet outside than you do inside.

(and all these were developed through first hand experiences)

EDIT EDIT: i apologize if I offended anyone....but i can't WAIT to get back to texas....arkansas is depressing and the state bird is eating me alive.

$500 includes complete front axle, rear axle, tranny, tcase, motor, and you're considering NOT getting it? You could part it out in a day and scrap the body! I'll need to figure out when I can get to MS and I'll let you know. THAT's a killer deal!

Violentv8toy
07-05-2004, 10:22 PM
yeah...its a good deal...but i've got enough junk now....im just gonna work on the v8 toy and make it cool and wheel that through college....maybe tear into the new toy someday.
