you were right (http://tamor.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3512)

after installing the superflex 6" coils from deaver springs, i guess time made the passenger side cup bend in.

only modification i made was: extend the adjustable track bar. i didn't swap in any extra drop radius arm brackets or extra degree C-bushings.

so i guess i'll be looking for those degree shims to go underneath the coils seats. this blows. 4wheelparts will be laughing at me while swapping on the hawgs today.

kevin called me just a little while ago and he was having the same problem, but his sounded way worse. he said the pass side coil looked like an "S" with the weight of the truck on it. more to come...

i would suggest getting the angled coil spacers that kevin posted a while back, because after a while your coils will start to bow. i'm probably going to make my own @ work, and i'll let you know how long it takes. they'd just charge hourly ($48/hr). and if it only takes an hour (which i think it will) it'll be that + very little for mat'ls. i think they wanted $75 for the ones online.

who's "they"... and my driver side coil looks like that

when i took my truck to 4wheelparts, they actually told me it's normal to see 6" and taller coils do this. it won't hurt anything. ???

mine have gotten progressively worse, and i'm pretty sure thats why there's no tread left on the outside of my front tires.

wait a minute, just got to thinking. that website is for 66 - 77 early broncos. will they fit 78/9 broncos?

emailed ron boggs at sierra bronco. asked if the coil shims would fit a 78/9 bronco. he said no. the spacing is smaller on the EB's. back to the frakin drawing board.

after all that hell, just wanted to show how everything is working together:

1) got the 1" coil shims from sierra bronco for $70. they worked ok. but still had outward bow. fixed with a comealong (sp?)

2) got longer shocks with VERY FIRST TEST...
