well along with the recently installed tpi of course it couldnt run flawlessly. ive driven it since tues. and fri. night i pulled into the bank parking lot and it died. It turns over but will not start. ive tried the coil and the module in the distributor. im all out of ideas because its not setting any trouble codes. any help would be appreciated.

is it sparking? are the injectors firing? is the fuel pump working? theres a lot of possibilites, but I'd check that and then start tracing wires.

fuel pump runs, NO SPARK! not sure how to check injectors. all wires are ok and connections are secure.

you can stick a test light in the injector plug and if it lights up then its firing, but the won't be if the distributor pickup isn't talking to the ecm

sounds like wiring problems

Figured it out. Had a bad distributor. The magnets were cracked and shaft was bent a little. Just finished it up and the beast runs.

what makes the components of the distributor go bad?

the easiest way to check and see if the injectors are firing is listen to them with a stethescope or put a screwdriver against them and put your ear to the handle. if you dont hear them clicking, then tap on them pretty hard to see if they are stuck. if that doesnt work, then you need to check the electrical signal with a noid light.

the magnets inside were just about to come apart. there were like 5 cracks and the shaft was burned pretty bad. But no i didnt drop it :flipoff2:
