We went to pick up an engine in Ellsworth, Kansas yesterday. It's a 1993 6.5L NA with a 599 block (the strongest made) and all the accessories.
We're going to build a streetable 500-550 lb-ft on #2 only. That will come from a new turbo (Garrett 60-1 .68 a/r), a CTD intercooler, lower compression 18:1 pistons, different cam, different programming, and about 85 cu mm of fuel.
Here's a few pics:

Yeah, they are huge. That's why I linked them. :flipoff2:
I'm about to go out there and start taking it apart [read: stealing parts off it for my truck]. :D

Y'all really need to add a truck to the family....

We might. There's a '01 dual cab dually Dmax that we're looking at, but it's a bit pricey. The engine is on a base with wheels, so we used a cherry picker to get it half-way into the truck, and rolled it in on a piece of plywood from there.

that has to be the first time anyone has used a chain boomer on the INSIDE of a suburban.
I got an idea...how about a trailer if the truck is too pricey.

Why so low power? If you're gonna build it it should have at least 700 ft lbs, anything less is jusk ****ing around.

Excuse me, I don't speak Pollock. :flipoff2:
It'll tow just as well as a stock 04 Dmax/Powersmoke/Cummins. It won't have quite the same torque, but she'll work just fine. It's all in the turbo.

Hey, he's not the only one to ever put an engine in the back of a burb. When I drove from Corpus to Austin to get my burb, I was called back at the last minute by a guy I had been trying to get ahold of about a 454 for sale up there. Well, I ended up putting a 454/Th400 combo in the back of my new to me 3/4 ton 4x4 Burb and driving it through downtown Austin and San Antonio. Too bad the earlier model subs didnt have the tie-downs, woulda made this trip alot safer  . BTW the only reason its sagy ass in the picture is because it has about 850 pounds of american steel in the back. Here's the pics

Doug K called last night - just got his "600" off the Dyno after adding the TST box...
480 hp / 1120 torque with just a TST box, intake, and exhaust... AT THE REAR WHEELS!

Actually I just scratched up the A/C shroud with the top of the engine hoist, no grease anywhere. :flipoff2: WTF is a disco anyway?

Sounds like another reason NOT to own a Dodge. Not part of that phone list. :flipoff2:
