Want some metal for some sliders. Rectangle tubing. They only sell it new at bryan, was wondering if anyone had any access to any? Maybe like 2x3 or 2x4 something like that. 1/4" thick.

3/16ths will work, thats what i used on my blazer, but it was 2x4... It's never dented.

they have 11' of it. Should i run it all the way from fender to fender? Or just from front fender to behind the cab? It's $5.40 a foot for 2x4x3/16. That a pretty good price? It was like 7.80 at bryan iron for 1/4".

do just under the cab. the bed and cab will misalign when you flex.

how do you think some heavy channel would work for some sliders? would be WAY cheaper than having to buy from a metal yard. Just get some from bryan i&m. If i got 4" you think the sides could withstand the rocks? Should be pretty heavy duty. I need to figure out a way to mount my sliders too, as i have dual tanks and the rear mound for the slider would need to be fabbed accordingly. The front mount could attatch to the frame and i was thinking that maybe i could attatch the other to the gas tank brackets but i dunno.

id think mounting anything besides the gas tank to the gas tank brackets would be a bad idea. especially something that will have the weight of the vehicle on it.
