I need something really cheap and in very bad shape. Something 4wheel drive like a jeep or scout. Has to be older than 1980 so I do not have to deal with emission. Must have clear title and VIN number.

The thornbirds are long gone. I took them to discount tire and let them send them away never to be see again. Need something to title the new buggy as.

Troy, I've got a diesel blazer thats an 1983, but you won't have to deal with emissions because of the diesel vin. It's got a 8 lug 10 bolt front and a 14 bolt rear with disc brakes. We could probably sell the axles for 350... It's also on aluminum 16.5's don't know the width and has 33" bfg at's

It was 600 and thats what i'm trying to get out of it...

If we can sell the axles for 350, I'll keep the body and discount the price more. Maybe we can work something out if all you need is the VIN.

The scout sounds to nice for what I would do with it but it is a good option so find out if he has a title in his name that could be changed over to me.

Doug do you know what kind of pain in the butt it would be to convince the place doing the inspection that it only needs the safety inspection. That is an argument I dont want to deal with.

I really want something that does not run and is a piece of crap. I will take the title and VIN and scrap the rest.

hey, i'll find out from Foley if he's actually going to register his jeep buggy and needs the title/VIN. as far as i know, he's only using the body.

why do you need a title? Just register as a kit car. the state will either asign you a vin or you can create one and submit it to the state. people do it all the time.

I'm pretty sure if you do that it has to meet new car standards, like air bags, emissions, etc...

foley doesnt have the title for his CJ, but was probably going to use the vin/serial # to register it. he said he's got a title for a cherokee, but no vin tag. lemme know if that'd be of any use.

it might matter if you live in an emissions county, but an ls-1 should pass whatever smog **** you would have to pass. Unless of course you cam it out and troy has a hand in the wiring...:)

You could make it an '85 toyota if emissions isn't an issue

Graystroke

emissions doesn't matter. do you think all those glass bodied '32 high-boys run an LS-1? nope. half the guys that build them don't even know what frool-injection is. It's a kit. not mass produced vehicle.
